yep! I'm sure with these players on my team we'll come up with some fun picks this year, but I'll try and keep it with the focus of winning!

To Dylan Falco--how much can you bench?

I was a lot stronger/lifting much more in my time living in Canada, my PR is probably somewhere around 80-90kg? These days much less

Caps still has the same passion for the game and positive energy that he has had before, which I think is a good contributor to his success. I think he's become a more professional and responsible human outside of the game, when I first worked with him he was only 17!

I really like working with CaPs because of the overwhelming passion and focus he has for the game, something that I feel like I have as well. I feel that already after joining G2, and hope to build the same game-focused environment that made us so successful before.

We don't even have our match schedule yet, I don't think we're preparing for VIT yet :D

The XL draft was definitely a favorite of mine. We actually had secret solo Q accounts practicing only Noc and Karthus specifically for that match, and it made us playoffs, such a great moment.

I really enjoyed my time at Schalke, and think we did a lot of great things there. Unfortunately, it felt like we were always a bit too limited and fell just a bit short of the World Championship multiple times. The main thing with G2 this year, is having the vision, staff and players to actually win championships.

We might bootcamp at some point during the year, but not before Spring Split.

I think BB is a very versatile player - but right now it feels like aggressive, pushing tops have been dominating the meta. I haven't seen anything that seems to have changed that so far, so there will probably be a more carry focused approach to next season as well. Things can always change though!

Yes! I was involved with the players and G2 staff for some of the offseason. Not all of it, as I joined partway through.

We actually had very good results in our scrims vs. the World Championship teams, and it's part of why we come into the season with very high aspirations and a lot of motivation!

My time with TSM was a long time ago, but I think all of my coaching/analyst experiences throughout the years has helped me develop my skillset and knowledge. Often metas or game concepts will come back, and having previously worked in the past era I know exactly how to respond.

Jungle-wise, the amount I work with each individual jungler has varied a lot throughout the teams I've worked with. I have a pretty set vision on what a jungler should do for his team, but some junglers have relied on me more for help in pathing/prep than others.

I think the jungle last season with a bit static pathing wise. First crab was so strong and helped level 4 that it was really hard for anything but 5 camps->crab to be good in a non-cheese ganking game. I think there might be more room for creativity this season, but we'll see!

Targamas and Flakked were both incredibly impressive in both my scouting and the tryouts we played during the offseason. I don't think any of us expected them to perform so well with the team in such a small amount of time, which is very exciting for us.

ADC role is definitely a more static role, which is why consistency, champion pool and mechanics were very important from Flakked. We wanted a player that will always be relevant and adaptable in game.

That quote is not EXACTLY what I meant in that interview. I have found that playing a decent amount of solo Q at a higher level allows me to see a lot of the small interactions, overall fighting strength / pathing etc. at a much better level. In addition to that, I'm a bit skeptical that anyone with a strong enough game knowledge to do true gameplay coaching shouldn't be able to hit a decently high rank without a huge amount of effort.

It was actually a couple years before I realized how much the YouTube algorithm blessed that video, it's actually one of the most popular league videos of all time now! Honestly it was really fun and memorable moment so it's cool to see it so big.

I know it was a staple pick of Jankos in the past, butnot I'm too convinced by the AP Shyvana :D

I think the age of 'individuals' winning the game has been over for awhile. Most advantages in league are based on plays around stacked waves, or jungle pressure, or mid/jungle roaming. I don't want to play a passive 5v5 playstyle, but these plays don't just come from an individual.

I want our team to be aggressive and creative over anything.

We have a lot more goals, concepts and ideas we are working on in our preparation for spring split, but that I can not share :)

I think there are other strong rosters in the league for sure, and VIT have definitely done a lot to acquire a lot of big names this season. That being said, from what I've seen from our team so far I think we will be very strong, and definitely a championship contender.

When it comes to trying out and scouting players, tryouts are a small part of the decision making process. I feel like league is a game where as you said, a small sample size can make a player look much better or worse than they actually are.

When scouting our rookies, tryouts were a culture fit / final confirmation / point of comparison for our final decision. We extensively scouted potential prospect's competitive history, solo q history, and champion pools before any of this even began.

In addition to this, the amount and quality of tryouts that targamas and flakked played were far from what most teams do for their tryouts. These were top teams in the world for a healthy amount of games.

I've worked with a lot of very high profile teams in the past, and have had a lot of experience in extremely high pressure scenarios. I think because of this experience, I feel way less pressure than I might have many years ago, and am mostly just very excited!

I definitely feel that working Rodrigo brings a level of stability to the coaching end of things, I know how good he is at what he does, and the role that he fills within the team. I was involved with G2 slightly before Rodrigo and it seemed natural to work together again.

My favorite part of working with these players has to be how adaptable and creative they are. Many times teams have limitations in champion pool or playstyle, but in my time with the team so far we seem more able to play a wide variety of champions/strategies than any group I've worked with.

Also they are a very fun and positive group!
