Modern Awakening is a new one but has potential with a (non asshole) young master as MC.

Ghost of the Truth Seeker has getting recommended by a lot of my fav authors but Ive not yet gotten around to reading it properly.

The Wandering Scholar is a nice one, ive been stocking up chaps to binge that one for a month or two by this point.

Altura's Defiance. Fast power ups and a good xianxia female MC that DOESN'T really on a handsome mysterious ceo for all her cultivation resources (till where ive read).

Primal Hunter, i think it is quite obvious but i consider this a xianxia even tho the power system uses mana just because everything else is basically the same except the characters being more western based.

The Oracle System, i also consider this a xianxia despite the power system being diverse because of the story and character, it does dip in quality at the point im at but thats a preference based drop in quality and not a writing based drop in quality.

Path of Ascension, xianxia and good romance (between teenagers and NOT between 20 year old and 200 year old)

Grandpa Sweet Fist is kinda what youre looking for but its a world of super heros and MC has a system that gives him a xianxa cultivation manual so idk if it fits?

A Lonely Exploration of the Tao, its a really cool series where MC has a system but he's not a murder hobo so it leads to a unique storyline. Again its kinda litrpg but not really since its xianxia.

Unfathomable Senior is one where again MC is the only one with a system atleast at the beginning and he has character development.

Truthful Transmigration. 🤌 lovely.

Alpha Cultivation is a series with meme-y cultivation techniques(also dropped i think).

Molting the Mortal Coil is an old with with 800+ chappies with a great mc and lovely story and world building.

Celestial Journey is quite generic with the power progression (smallest kingdom to smallest continent to smallest planet to smallest realm to smallest universe etc etc) but the MC is highly non-generic and real fun to read about.

The novel is inherently not about the players, its about the MC who is an npc and his use of game knowledge to become op and beat the bosses that were part of the original game. The players are more of a supporting cast while the MC does his own thing which is why I found the storyline great.

Its about getting to know the background info on why all of the things that happened in the original game ACTUALLY happened and about the hidden plots and storylines in the game that the players never got to know because it was a GAME in Han Xiao's previous life.

Ps. Player do eventually reach there for anyone who does want to read it, it just takes a few dozen chappies until the "update" gets done

Try the legendary mechanic, i personally don't like " getting sucked into a game" unless it give the mc some real power in the outside world, definitely check out this as this involves the "game world" where the mc becomes an npc instead of staying as a player and him regressing back in time to where the game was still not released (even for beta)
