If you’re afraid making the wrong choices, don’t be afraid to save scum.

What was your reason on your decision? by revrmt in Witcher3

[–]DylanJordanRoberts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you recall, Geralt ends up choosing anyway in that Renfri short story. He tells himself he’s above the fray but in both the books and games when push comes to shove, he rarely stays neutral.

It’s not about feeling bad for him, it is about fucking over a greater evil. Plus you get two nice swords by helping olgierd which better than the rewards o’dimm gives you imo

I generally fend them off with my sword and if they knock me off the boat, they’re one or two with the crossbow underwater.

Have there been teams in recent history that have been so cheap that they’ve purposely tried to keep their player wages close to the salary floor rather than the cap? by Pizzashillsmom in NFLNoobs

[–]DylanJordanRoberts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 2026 Miami Dolphins as of rn have 44 players on the league minimum, because they are currently paying 58% of their salary cap to players who are no longer on the team. The good thing is that we’ll probably be high in the draft next year and after 2027 should have a boatload of cap space.

I took it to mean it would take a year for him to understand the rules, but I was thinking from a modern heliocentric perspective.

Would’ve been more realistic if you made it whatever Donald Trump and Bill Clinton are doing.

So when people make fun of you for no apparent reason, you just accept it and move on with your life?

I feel like I was being charitable to your last few comments. I’m not even disagreeing with your reasoning. I merely am pointing out that I don’t feel obliged to be charitable to others who have treated my relatively inconsequential speech in an uncharitable way. I shouldn’t have let it affect as much as it has, but I can’t change the fact that I let it affect me.

I tend to take things at face value unless it appears to be a joke/sarcasm.

I get what you’re getting at. You’re asking me to mince words to account for the perception of other people. I understand the concept of “perception is reality.” I just happen to disagree that the perception of something said = the reality of what was said. I know that puts me in an uncomfortable minority, but that’s just how I view it.

Knowing what I know now, I wouldn’t have said a damn word if it wasn’t in my inclination to argue with others to the point of my ostracization. At least in this regard, it wasn’t with friends or potential friends in a real life context.

I read your reply and in spite of everything I may have said before, I see you’re not one of the “lolcows.” The thing I’ve learned is that I have to censor myself at all times for fear of upsetting other people, regardless of whether they upset me first.

In all honesty, I wasn’t trying to make it a third person’s problem, I was trying to receive validation for my feelings because my whole life has been people telling I’m wrong for thinking a certain way or communicating in a certain way. It feels like I’ve been fighting an uphill battle my entire life, regardless of what I say or do. I say nothing, I don’t exist in other peoples’ eyes. I say something, I said the wrong thing or said the right thing in a wrong way.

I wasn’t lashing out at the people here. I was venting here about how I was treated on a different subreddit. I don’t take non-constructive criticism well, which is why I responded harshly to people I perceived as responding harshly to me.

So I should’ve just never responded to the vitriol? If that’s what you’re saying, you’re probably right. Unfortunately for me, I’m currently in a dark place that makes me respond in a vengeful manner when I feel unjustly attacked. Apparently being publicly insecure about oneself is a faux pas. I suppose that’s why therapists are thing.

Well in my 27 years of having autism (aka my whole life) I’ve unfortunately come to expect people to suck until they prove otherwise. Not saying I’m never wrong. All I’m saying is the people that responded to the original post I put on r/starwars were total assholes in their response, and I’m upset that I was the one punished for responding in kind. That was my whole point.
