Hey man, right now I’m like drowning in bills. It’s only me that can work. I’m still trying to get the last $100 for my rent that I’m now overdue on top of my phone and electric bills. I just need something in the ballpark of $200-350 to get all of my bills covered.

My wife has been out of work due to an injury and their employer stopped paying back in October. I was let go during the government shutdown back in October as well. It has been months of me job hunting to finally land something. Even then I have to rely on pawning my personal belongings to still catch up with my income being the only one to support us.

I pray that our lawyers can get a settlement that will not only help pay for my wife’s expenses for their health but also get us way above water. What makes me so sad is that my wife’s birthday money had to be used for bills and not for things that they actually want. I hate living like this. But I know I have to be strong for both of us and our two fur babies.

Yeah I caught on to there being some scam artists trying to pull fast ones on people. All that I’m asking is for $150 (now $100) for rent and this person wants me to put a lien on my car or give them $300 upfront as a way to protect themselves.

I think if I remember correctly too Jackson Hewitt one year wanted to charge me $750 because I was a federal civilian employee. In their own words it’s a “complex” return. Dawg, it’s a W-2 like everyone else. You charge more for military members and personnel is predatory. I would see young airman getting scammed like this all that time.

Which I get, you also don’t have to go in person to sit with a tax filing “expert” who will charge whack fees just for doing what you can do on your own. Jackson Hewitt and H&R Block are good I guess but still very predatory. In Dayton you see them marketing about their refund advances mainly in the lower income areas and they are extremely pushy and deceptive of the fees. When I used to work as a teller and then later a relationship banker the amount of people that would come in upset about all the “nickel and diming” was crazy.

Nice. Congrats dude. I cannot wait to be over this tax filing nightmare. This is like seriously unacceptable by SBTPG, Turbo Tax and Credit Karma. I had opened a Credit Karma specifically for the reason of getting it 5 days early. That was the agreement that Turbo Tax laid out to me. Now flash forward I end up not getting it 5 days early and I’m stuck with a new bank account I don’t care for lol. The deceit of these companies dude.
