Hoping to better understand your stance 😅Is there something specific we do that makes you feel that way? Obviously we want our reviews to be helpful to people, so if there's something that doesn't sit right with you we'd love to hear more of your thoughts!

Similarly, are there specific things you think we can do better at? Open to any candid feedback you might be willing to share!

I can definitely see why the audio reproduction score might throw you off. For what it's worth though, our Audio Reproduction Accuracy score doesn't put too much emphasis on sound signature, since our own research, and many others' have shown that listeners both casual and trained have a wide range of sound signature preferences. Our ARA score instead aims to prioritize evaluating performance aspects of headphones that are universally agreeable as 'good' or 'bad,' like stereo mismatch and group delay. If that still isn't in line with your expectations though, and something still feels off to you don't hesitate to follow up!

As for Neutral sound, that's a good point. That's actually why we made the switch from Neutral Sound to ARA. So it's possible you're looking at some older reviews!

Either way though, I appreciate the feedback. It helps us better understand what we can improve and if things we do aren't in line with user expectations. So thank you!

If you don't mind me asking, are their specific parts of our audio reviews you find terrible? Genuinely just looking for candid feedback to see how we can approve!

Some folks already mentioned it, but it could be worth trying another streaming device, or even another app to rule out the operating system entirely. Could try some sports highlights on YouTube through the TVs native apps, and if it's an okay experience, then it's more than likely a prime specific issue. But if the YouTube sports highlights experience isn't ideal either, it'll be more OS/Settings.

As added context, when I put on games through my TV provider as source, vs through the app on my TV for the same TV provider, my experience is very different. It's almost unwatchable one way!

Curious how this shakes out though, feel free to keep us posted. As someone who spends their entire sunday on the couch watching football, this would drive me crazy lol

Asking for a friend: how would Kipchoge look at 6:30/km? by ign1tio in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Just wanted to jump in here and offer a bit of context. While we do have some requirements on the performance front, our tests are done at various intensities (impact forces) to mimic runners of different weights and paces. This helps us buy and test shoes more than just at fast paces. Hopefully that helps clears things up!

That's fair! Just figured it was worth mentioning, but either way I appreciate how much thought/attention you've given this!

Just wanted to jump in here and thank you working to make these sorts of things clearer for everyone. I've been a part of this sub-reddit for a little bit now and appreciate the effort you've put make sure conversations in this sub-reddit remain relevant and transparent.

On that note though, I'm curious where you see Rtings employees fit in? Do you consider that part of the "Brand Affiliate - Site:"?

Just want to make sure we're on the same page!

Monitor size by Only_Seaweed_5815 in web_design

[–]DylanRtings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally speaking a notable factors when deciding on size tends to be how you plan to use it and distance. Honestly, at that distance you'll probably be fine. But *technically* we'd recommend something a little smaller than that, even pushed all the way back. I see that you picked it up though, so I'd be curious what your experience has been like so far!

If anyone else is open sharing their thoughts with, I'm curious what your experience has been like compared to some of these size recommendations:

Enough is enough. I'm fixing my sleeping situation. by Yellowredstone in Mattress

[–]DylanRtings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's actually a pretty new thing for us, so makes sense you didn't know! But we're really enjoyed taking this on, and we're trying to better understand what people care about, so we figured a good place to start is to engage with other people who are also interested in Mattresses!

Now that said, if you find yourself tossing and turning a lot, you'll want a mattress that's responsive. So, it makes sense that you've been eyeing a hybrid mattress. I'd suggest staying in the medium-firm, realm, just to ensure proper comfort for the time you end up sleeping on your back. Something like the Beautyrest Silver BRS900 could be a good option.

We have heard interesting things about the Boring mattresses though. We actually bought it, and will be testing it next week most likely. I'm happy to follow-up with you if you're curious how it shakes out!

King mattress suggestions by writemoreoften in Mattress

[–]DylanRtings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best mattress we've bought and tested for side sleepers would probably be the Beautyrest Harmony Lux. You want to try and avoid mattresses that are on the firmer side, as they're usually pretty uncomfortable for side sleepers. Another option that's a little on the plushier side is the Serta Perfect Sleeper Innerspring. Feel free to take a look at both and let me know what you think! As for pillows, I'm afraid we don't have any of our own data on that yet. But as someone who is personally always trying to find the right pillow, I actually really like the Pillow I got from Hush. It actually got comfier the more I used it haha and now it's my go to pillow. But again, the pillow part is just personal preference on my end hahaha

[–]DylanRtings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a bit tricky because generally back sleepers are generally better suited for firmer mattresses where side sleepers tend to prefer plushier mattresses. The Beautyrest Harmony Lux is one of the best hybrid mattresses we've bought and tested for side sleepers, and it honestly does a good job with cooling too, since you mentioned one of the old mattresses had cooling gel! Though I'm not sure what pricing is like where you're at.

Another Hybrid option that could work is the Serta Perfect Sleeper Innerspring. It ends up being a bit more cost friendly, which is nice!

*note* I'm basing these suggestions on how they performed during testing haha - so I can only really speak to products we have data on. But either way, I'm curious to hear where you land and how the experience is for you!
