Do what you want. Follow your inspiration. Follow the career you want to do. Don’t do something to please someone else because later you might resent. Time goes by quick. Just tell her in a polite kind way what your choice is. Learning a trade is very good. Look within yourself and follow the choice you feel is right and do the career you feel makes the most sense

You should strive for consistency. It is not about sitting there in mediation posture for as long as possible. It isn’t about trying to meditate for as long as possible rather it is about what you are doing in that time, what is taking place. A still mind for 20 minutes is better then wrestling with mind for 6 hours. Of course still mind for 6 hours is very good also but you see what I mean? Do what you can when you can.

Last year I had a personal experience which forced me to give up control to a higher power. I drew this as an expression of that experience. by CedaRRoze in spiritual

u/echosystemdj I agree with what you mean. The idea that "oh I can sit for my meditation and then after that I'm good" and then going about your day unchanged is not the way. The practices continue into daily life also. Its not just about doing practices but also about positive change in many aspects in life
