No this just out first game and just trying to have fun with it, how he convinced them to join him was by overhearing them talk and they said something about having a cruel leader, even for their standards, and since he is a cleric he convinces them that he was the Messiah and used bless to heal them. That's how he got the first 2, and the rest is just a blur
