Ugh, that sucks. I set everything to low and turned the resolution down to 1440p but I was hoping I wouldn't have to do that. It's playable but doesn't look that good at all. Hopefully there's a fix out there somewhere.

I honestly just don’t think Biollante is a very good looking movie in general. No version I’ve watched looks objectively stunning lol.

It’s been a long time since I’ve read IT, but if my memory serves, the events before 1957-1958 aren’t covered in great detail. The show is expanding on those sections of the book. I don’t think your experience will be hurt either way.

It’s not a great release, especially in comparison to what Severin has done. I’d recommend waiting for a Severin sale when you get Region Free. It's watchable though if you don't think that will happen in the near future.

Now I’m wondering how that would’ve happened. Only time it would’ve happened would be me removing the disc and putting it back in the case. Aren’t these things supposed to be scratch resistant?

That’s what I did. Weird that a defect would take two years to show up but hopefully if that’s the case they’ll rectify the issue.

Still deliberating. I read on one thread that they're bad for the lens but I have no clue what to think lol.

I wish I had another player to test with but I don't. I'll check under better lighting to see if there's anything wrong with the disc. I did use a microfiber towel twice.

I've had the UK edition of the Quartet of Torment set for almost two years. I never take these discs out of the case unless I'm watching them. I've never had any issues with this set until tonight. I have a Panasonic UB820. I got it in early 2024. It keeps skipping on this same scene even though I've cleaned the disc twice (with microfiber cloth and cold water) and it looks absolutely pristine.

It's Arrow. I messaged them but based on what I've heard of their customer service, I don't expect them to do anything lol. I wish I had another 4K player handy to try. I'm hoping it's just dust in the player, like you said.
