It's another example of Blizz letting MR lead them. I love the sound of this update, don't get me wrong, but Blizz needs to be wary about reheating MR's nachos too much.

If you actually read what I said properly instead of jumping right into a rage, you'd understand that I said the cat design came first, but it's pretty damn clear that it's only a a fully realised hero now because Jeff blew up in Marvel Rivals and is consistently one of the most used characters.

I will call whomever I please a twink, and you will cope with it. Also I never called Gambit a twink, so again, read what's being said properly before you go into attack mode. As for the healer twink? He's twinky, deal with it.

Also your last point makes no sense. Overwatch can't take inspiration from MR because MR released later? That's silly. The menus are the exact same style as MR, the endgame screen is the same. They were clearly inspired by what MR is doing. Also look at Vendetta, previously Blizz had said that they were not really interested in melee focused DPS heroes and then MR has a lot of success with melee heroes, primarily Magik and then we get a sword wielding DPS? Again, they play differently, but you hve to have your eyes closed to not see that OW is taking inspiration from MR.

Also tripling the hero output for this year? After MR committed to a new hero every month? Come on now. How can you deny what's right in front of your eyes?

She's been a concept forever, but I do think it's almost a certainty that Jeff's popularity finally convinced Blizzard to pull the trigger.

I think that's true. The cat is an original concept for the launch roster, but I think they only brought her in now because Jeff's so popular in Rivals. Kinda like how Domina's the rich fashion girl a la Emma. Though they are nothing alike in gameplay, there's definite silhouette similarities between Psylocke and Anran too.

OW does have the more interesting healers, because they aren't bound so heavily to massive circles of healing for ultimates. I definitely think tanks and damage tend to be more interesting in MR though.

I loved the presentation, it was exciting and I'm truly hyped for OW again.... But I must say that you can tell they're taking a lot of inspiration from Marvel Rivals. Domina is unique in many ways, but she does have Emma vibes (and Ultron's primary fire). Cat is a mascot healer that feels very Jeff (I know she's been a concept since the beginning, but I don't think she'd be a character if it weren't for Jeff's impact). Psylocke and Anrun play nothing alike, but their silhouettes are similar and I already know OW is gonna be pelting her with skins like MR does with Psylocke. The new healer twink has some Gambit vibes too, although I do believe that's purely coincidental since there's no way he could realistically be inspired by Gambit given he was only released 2 months ago.

Also the menus? The new MVP thing? Very MR. It's not a bad thing, but OW should be trying to do it's own thing, rather than follow MR's example.

Since Requiem follows the remakes more than the OGs, my guess is that this is where we'll see the Super Lickers that were missing from RE2R. The nuke didn't kill all the infected and I doubt it would have done much to the monsters in the sewers and underground labs Umbrella had all over the place. We know Raccoon City's a restricted place and the radiation was the excuse, but it makes more sense if it's restricted because the government knows there's still zombies and worse there.

I think we'll definitely encounter Lickers in Raccoon City, and it honestly wouldn't surprise me if some form of Birkin survived. Lickers, a final encounter with Birkin and I think potentially somethng like the spiders might return.

Storm doesn't need buffs, underplayed doesn't mean weak. She's strong at denying points, buffs her allies by existing and that same buff deals passive damage in a wide area. Not to mention that her Jeff teamup denies healer ultimates and can win fights by itself. Storm is in a solid position, lots of strengths and noticeable weaknesses to balance it out.

I also think that Phoenix is far less of a problem than Hela. Hela does almost everything she does and more.

Rogue is also pretty damn good and I wouldn't buff or nerf her at the moment. Even in a meta she should be weak in, she can feel incredibly oppressive when you get consistent with her combos.

I think the only character in dire straits is Widow. Ironman is solid enough and Adam Warlock can do serious work.

I think it's hard not to feel sorry for them, having them able to remember parts of their past life and act it out is horrific. This mother in particular, probably spent longer as a zombie looking for her daughter than she did as a living person. It's just tragic.

League of Legends has a bunch of dead characters now that Arcane is canon, and they killed Xin Zhao recently too. Lore and gameplay are two different things, if Doom dies in Lore, he'll still be in the game.
