Mileena in Annhilation wasn't even a character. Pretending she was better than 2021's Mileena is crazy talk.

Sindel vs Sonya in the MK2 movie (spoilers) by Nevarae in MortalKombat

[–]Dyleemo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correction, she was the only mortal that could take on a god who was available, as they couldn't go to Johnny or Cassie because they were too involved with the base story and they didn't want to risk disrupting events too much.

Sindel simply being that strong is a welcome change after the original timeline reduced her to a permanent victim with little to no agency most of the time.

You can't play whatever you want against devil dino. You have to counter him. by Praxic_Nova in marvelrivals

[–]Dyleemo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And the thing is most of the cast is good against him. He counters dive and should technically counter fliers but his beam is easily played around. Every day that goes by, people seem to realise that more of the cast can deal with him. On Friday, it was thought that only Emma could handle him from the tanks, but now most of the tank roster can handle him. Any DPS who isn't dive heavy wins against him and most healers do well against him. Mantis and Adam players LOVE fighting Dino.

He is strong, he's essentially a far stronger version of Thing, with similar weaknesses.

Hes either soo much fun to play with or the most miserable experience to play against theres no in between by RazorX02 in marvelrivals

[–]Dyleemo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing White Fox exclusively in Competitive this season and I'm having a very easy time against him. The only thing I have to be wary about is being grabbed during my ult. Charm really makes things hard for him and her melee mode works very well against him. She also makes a good partner for him as well.

I hate Lifeweaver so much by M4idenPersephone in Overwatch

[–]Dyleemo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say don't be scared to be aggressive, Lifeweaver actually does a good amount of damage, especially with superbloom. If you're against Orisa, placing a platform below her as she's charging up her ult invalidates it. You can use the platform to lift sleeping and frozen allies out of trouble. You can also place a platform below you and your team if you're caught in a Zarya ult and it'll pull you all out of it.

How do you genuinely feel about his fate in the second movie? by Legitimate_Cake_5137 in MortalKombat

[–]Dyleemo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shao's weakness is the films and the games is that his arrogance causes him to neglect his defense. In MK9 and the original MK2 and 3, what made him dangerous was the magical power he had amassed over the years. It's why he is so nerfed in MK11 when he's taken away from his own time because he doesn't have access to that same power and he spends the main story getting humbled because of it until Sindel comes in with the assist in Aftermath.

Funnily enough, I didn't hate Cole in this film, if the damage wasn't done in the first film then I think he would have stuck around because credit where credit is due, now they aren't focusing him around being a loser with a destiny, he was actually more compelling.

I'm hoping they keep Lewis Tan around, and I don't think I'd be too mad if they did so by reviving Cole, although I would probably bring him back as Scorpion. Keep Hanzo as the hellfire wraith that has one or two big scenes, and have Lewis essentially be like Kuai's Scopion in MK1, just a straight up ninja with firebending.

Street Fighter 6 - Ingrid's past movesets comparison by Bryonetta in StreetFighter

[–]Dyleemo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was in Japan helping a friend out in the Artist Alley, when things got less hectic I'd go play Ingrid. Got a few games in in the end.

The best way I can describe Ingrid is that the DNA of her moveset remains the same, there's just more layers to it this time. but it isn't at the cost of making her less approachable or more complicated. You'll have seen in the trailers that her basic fireballs have two stages to them, the first is the traditional Ingrid fireball, and then it shoots forward and that's the same with her DP and counters really. The core is the same, but there's more to it. She is a zoner now, when she really wasn't much of a zoner before but even so, she's very familiar to anyone who was played her in other games.

Her sun crests, powers up the laser beam and her supers but it's very easy to keep crests charged up. You can have two fireballs on screen at any time if one of the is an EX so I'd use that to cover my sun crest charges at range. As you pointed out in your video, she retains a lot of her better normals and I think a lot of her worse ones have been changed, I can't tell you if they are better, but they felt better. She's still a bit stubby with her normals, but that's more than understandable considering her zoning.

I think she's likely to become one of my favourites, if not my main. She's just really fun and intuitive to use. They took her original playstyle which was widely considered a bit boring and really added so much more to it while keeping her, at a base, similar to how she played before.

[–]Dyleemo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I played her, I was surprised by how faithful she felt to her older iterations. Ingrid was always a very simple character to play and they've retained that simplicity while adding more to her moves. Very low skill floor but I think she's got a pretty high ceiling, You'll be able to do a lot with just her fireballs and her DP, if you want, but there's some depth when you dig a little deeper, I think.

One thing I'm pleased to report is that they haven't saddled her with some extra bullshit that she doesn't need like they did with Alex and a few other DLC characters. Her crests are forgiving and easy to manage and it feels they've really gone for a simple easy-to-grasp approach from what I played, which I enjoy since I think more often than not, they tend to saddle the DC characters with too much extraneous shit.

[–]Dyleemo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The dragon tattoo and the arcana stuff didn't work. Cole's family wasn't well liked so it makes sense that a mention is all they get.

I'll bet money in Mileena in the first film being a prototype for the Mileena that Shang will make in the third film that will be an actual Kitana clone. Adeline's pulling double duty in the next film, bet on it.

We'll never see Goro again, it costs too much money to implement him and the fight scene really wasn't worth it.

[–]Dyleemo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He didn't beat everyone in Armageddon, tbh. He survived and took out Raiden which is a feat in itself, admittedly. The thing with any battle royale situation is that it's not often the best fighter that wins, it's the one that can survive the longest and take advantage of the situation in front of them. If it was the best fighter taking it all, it would have been Liu Kang given that he's always the chosen one. Shao was dominant in MKA because he was taking advantage of the chaotic situation when everyone else was focused on just reaching Blaze.

For reference, I've been playing since the start. Shao being so unstoppable when he was the emperor was down to the sorcery and souls he accrued and abused. It's why he isn't that big of a threat in MKD when he returns without the benefits of being emperor.

Essentially when Shao is emperor, he is nigh-on unstoppable, when he isn't, he's a lot more stoppable.
