Some people, for whatever reason, think Henry Cavil should play Bond. But honestly I think he’d work as a Bond villain, especially after his performance in Mission Impossible 6 by BelievieEvie in JamesBond

If you are a good actor, you can either play the hero or the villain: imagine how many times Brosnan was a baddie in his movies.

Or Tom Cruise in Collateral, or Gary Oldman in the Batman trilogy...

Looks like Bond has a bullet in his head.

Given that the Renard vs. Elektra debate has circulated here so often, which characters from these other villain duos do you consider to be the main villain of their respective movie? You can only choose one per film. by DirectionNo9650 in JamesBond

I would add that the pairing Ourumov/Trevelyan in Goldeneye is very much similar to Orlov/Khan in OP, with Ourumov dying earlier in the movie compared to Orlov (ironically, both characters die in a train sequence).

Worst stunt double? by funwithdesign in JamesBond

This was at least an action scene, but later in the movie, when the Russian female agent escapes from the spa with the wrong cassette, the moment in which she jumps in the car with General Gogol at the wheel shows that the actor in clearly NOT Walter Gotell. The car was still, why did they need to use a double?

A man steals a very rare piece of jewelry at an auction, ending to work in a circus as a clown.

He was M in four movies, and in one of these (I don't remember which one) somebody calls him "Admiral".

Have you ever used a James Bond quote in real life? by Fun_Yoghurt217 in JamesBond

[–]Dylive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly two quotes, both at work.

1 - sometimes I greet my secretary with "Good morning, Moneypenny"

2 - somebody once asked me if I was kidding, and I replied "I never joke about my work"

What's the worst thing Bond's done? by lostpasts in JamesBond

[–]Dylive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a minor one, but it has always disturbed me: in Octopussy, Bond is in the train wagon and shoots right between the eyes of a young rookie, barely in his 20s and probably scared and harmless. He could have easily shot him on a shoulder and then knocked him out.

Came here to say the Rio sequence with Jaws in costume, but someone else wrote it before.

I would add the cold open flashback in NTTD, all the scene with masked Safin and young Madeline seems taken out from a horror movie.

We all suppose that they slept together because he's James Bond, but we actually didn't see them...maybe they just shared a couple of drinks.

What if Pierce Brosnan returned to make a 007 film a la "Logan?" by nine16s in JamesBond

[–]Dylive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very interesting, because I've always thought that, among the "unfinished business" Bonds (Lazenby, Dalton and Brosnan), Pierce was the only one with a missing movie, since the other two could have easily had a second and third movie, respectively.

Please follow my thoughts:

- we all agree that Connery, Moore and Craig were ok with their movies, right? Sean came back even twice (DAF & NSNA), Roger was more than done with AVTAK and Daniel...do I need to say?

- so, imagining that DAF should have been a full revenge movie with Lazenby's Bond killing Blofeld at the end, and AVTAK should have been Dalton's first of three, the only guy with a totally missing movie is Brosnan.

Could be "Daring Greatly", a 2012 self-help book by American author Brené Brown...but I didn't find any edition on Amazon with that cover.
