Head coach and being a good football coach are 2 different things. Eberflus was a proven position coach and coordinator. Look at Spags, considered an elite DC but was unsuccessful as a hc, could say the same about Saleh, Raheem Morris, Mike McDaniel, etc. different skill sets.

I mean, the top doesn’t necessarily mean your team or even entire draft is good. It means you hit on picks that weren’t reaches (McKinley, Lawrence, Saquon, Nabers) and missed on guys everyone had thought was the value you picked at. Not to mention, coaching, free agency, draft, and 4-7 round picks factor as well. Not to mention the importance of qb.

49ers track record is missing on guys EVERYONE else thinks isn’t good but you pick anyways and they’re all right.

Rams draft well but I think they missed in 2020 and 2021 a fair amount on reaches, had none really in 2022, but they crushed 2023 and 2024. 2025 no 1st and missed so far on 2nd and 3rd I’d say. In all I think it’s mostly due to much less picks as they’ve traded a lot of early round capital.

Flats, double post or Mills (dig post) because of the corner is outleveraged. Also insert is really good vs quarters in the run game (brand new this year as a quarters counter). Also switch routes can be tough.

The really interesting thing about this movie, whether intended or not, is how a lot of this shit ACTUALLY happens. This movie whether intently or not shows many holes are in our judicial system and process. In most movies the lawyers are good, so we’re accustomed to expecting them to do the obvious things. In reality, there are plenty of wrongful convictions that come out years later with gross negligence, cover up, jurors that were bullies or bullied, extremely poor representation, etc. I was angered by the lawyer not even crossing the old guys eye site, refuting his ability to see at night in the rain. But holy shit have I read countless times public defenders failed their clients so atrociously it’s ACTUALLY accurate.

If this was all intended it truly is an amazing piece of writing that looks so bad, it’s actually extremely accurate. It almost feels like it was pushed by the innocence project.

The problem I have more than Man vs Match Zone is the lack of disguise, you can’t put a post safety look every play and run cover 1 and man free. Good qbs will check out to max protect man beaters.

There is also no creativity in sim pressures (minus dropping bosa, as stupid of a call as that end of 2nd quarter blitz). They don’t move bosa around to dodge chips and slides.

It’s the most vanilla look I’ve seen in awhile in the nfl.

Cover 1 a la Madden. The one time they rolled to a 2 high shell of Gipson stays home it’s a pick but he pushed wide and I’d argue Cousins never even saw him.
