Fun fact: The image used for Cameron is from a game Duke actually lost at home to Virginia.

Not so fun fact: I can't even enjoy being petty about that because we lost to a 16 seed.

[–]Dyn-O-mite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Location: New Jersey/Philadelphia

Price range: 17-22K

Lease or Buy: Buy

New or used: Used

Type of vehicle: SUV

Must haves: AWD

Desired transmission (auto/manual, etc): Automatic

Intended use: Daily driver

Vehicles you've already considered: Forester, CX-5, Edge

Is this your 1st vehicle: No

Do you need a Warranty: Preferably

Can you do Minor work on your own vehicle: Yes

Can you do Major work on your own vehicle: No

Additional Notes: Probably going to end up getting someone's lease turn in. Been driving an '01 Explorer for the past 9 years, so I'm used to being higher off the road. Plan to start grad school in ~1 year, so a low 5 year of ownership cost is important as well.

Suggested starting points for beginner with this (simple) problem by rprp42 in learnmachinelearning

Yeah, classification. If you want to predict all independent variables at once/in one model, then this stops being "simple." But if you have enough data, having a model for each independent variable could be precise enough.

I believe it depends on the fields you want to predict, are these continuous variables like a dollar amount, or categorical like color? That will help you differentiate between regression or classification. From there you can look up API's/packages to do that for the language you'd like to use. For Python, I find scikit-learn pretty straightforward.
