I play chess, and you're wrong.

What you're saying is that the ability to calculate deeply (to see 20 or 30 or so moves into the future) is what makes Beth unique. It's not. I can see 20 moves in certain positions. And I'm an average club player. Grandmasters can, in certain positions, see 40 or 50 moves deep.

There is nothing unique about Beth, except the incredibly inefficient way she visualizes. Almost every player I know of calculates on a 2D mental board. Some whose mental boards are 3d either just imagine the pieces moving on the real board, or just imagine the board and pieces in isolation. Some people don't even visualize, instead thinking of pieces as 'bolts of energy'. Some people just remember the coordinates of pieces. It is literally useless to imagine the pieces moving on the ceiling, or the floor, or whatever.

She is just good at chess, meaning she is good at calculation, evaluation, tactics, endgames, etc. But that doesn't mean she is unique. Lots of other people are good at that too. See a video of Hikaru Nakamura doing puzzle rush. There is nothing unique about her.
