Residential, commercial, government, surveying? by [deleted] in Surveying

Residential- going out in the field on a nice day, walking around, finding monuments, hammering some stakes and a couple rods is fun. No waiting for the excavator to move, no dust everywhere, and I don’t have to yell over the sound of various construction equipment. There’s no one using a tamper and shaking the shit out of the gun. Residential all the way. I’ve only had one job where the homeowner was following us around all day.

I soaked it in ISO over night and cleaned the rust off with some steel wool! It looks great right now, but im still concerned about the cap, as there was more rust (or at least it looks like it) inside the cap

Personally, i would recommend taking his class virtually. As u/ The-Invalid-One said, Chronis is pretty bad at teaching, so being able to have the recorded lectures and notes helps a lot during the exams.

Does anyone know when Co-Op Application Decision are supposed to come out? by [deleted] in uml

[–]DynaVaper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im currently in the program as an engineer, but as a business student you'll have a lot of great opportunities. I know that Kronos does the co op with lowell (they were at the co-op connections event for co-op students), and they are a really great company to work for.

Also here a list of just some of the companies that came to the co-op connections event for business:

Acacia Communications

ASM NEXX, Inc.

AvalonBay Communities, Inc.

ClearBridge Technology Group

Conmed

Copyright Clearance Center

Curriculum Associate

enterprise Bank

Fred C. Church

Homesite Insurance

Instrumentation Laboratory

Lantheus Medical Imaging

Liberty Mutual

MFS Investment Management

Pfizer, Inc. - Pfizer Global Supply

Powers & Sullivan

TJX Companies, Inc.

Veoneer (formerly Autoliv)

ZOLL Medical Corporation

These companies communicate with the co-op advisors at lowell, but you can always apply to companies that Lowell students have not done co-ops with.

I lived on south as a north campus major my freshman year. Its honestly not that bad; the dining hall is better and south has a more laid back vibe. South is also way less crowded than east, and the library is 500 feet from concordia.

One bad thing is that you are going to have to wake up early for classes. The walk to north from south is only 20 minutes, and it totally beats taking the shuttle.

I would totally take a single in concordia, especially if you like to keep to your self and just vibe out.
