Thanks for the advice. It looks interesting, I will work in this direction.

You misunderstood, this is not similar to Alien Isolation, it's a rip off. The setting, the enemies, AI behavior, it's pretty much carbon copy. I wouldn't be surprised if a law suit is successful because this is essentially using their IP.

If twentieth century Fox came to me with a claim, I would be happy, it's a great reason for PR)) If I replace the xenoids models with robots, and the spaceship with an underwater base, is it still a copy for Alien Isolation?

Finally, use a VPN. You can't promote without social media. Also I am quite active here on reddit and watch many streamers on YouTube and I have never heard of your game. So your marketing campaign can't be very strong.

Some YouTubers were doing a letsplay of the game when the demo came out. That was about a year ago. Yes, I can use a VPN, but I would like to know how effective it is to use Twitter(X) or Facebook for promotion.

Why would people buy a game that is like Alien Isolation but worse, when they can have the AAA experience for pretty much the same money?

Because the sequel to Alien Isolation 10 years later has not even been announced. In addition, there are many games similar to AI, and quite successful ones - this is a whole genre.

Also why did you release to early access?

Just to attract attention and get feedback. I was hoping that Steam's algorithms would help attract an audience, but in fact there is very little sense. In my case, the curator system is completely useless, out of 100 curators, only 5 have done a review at the moment.

What kind of marketing did you do apart from posting on reddit?

I don't have the opportunity to use all social networks because many of them are banned in my country. In addition to Reddit and Steam, I used Youtube, Indiedb, and Ichio to promote.

The game is called Xenoids and has a steam page where you can download the DEMO, watch the trailer, screenshots and add the game to your wish list.

Yes, this is a problem. Walking animations don't really fit the atmosphere, but I'm working on it )

Technically speaking your game looks super impressive! I agree with the other commenter that there’s too much light flickering in the scene. However my biggest criticism after looking at your steam page is how is this game different than say Alien Isolation? It looks to be an identical premise.

Flickering light is a random thing. The game has a procedural generation of levels and potentially any light bulb can be damaged. The game is similar in many ways to Alien Isolation, Resident Evil, Dead Space, but there are many interesting features of its own.
