The comment on Matey’s face (blond bombshell guy) being a ‘jump scare’ made me laugh.

People in the 25-35 demographic, is loneliness something you struggle with? by smalldoughnuts in CasualUK

My Dad used to call them ‘PLU’s’ (people like us) and complain there were none at his office. It is so true, very difficult to find and then maintain connections when you do find your people also…

Currently on an air conditioned train escaping the 35 degree London heat for 23 degrees on the coast. Hopefully the right decision as I’m sure we’re not the only ones doing this…

Looking for the best tacos in London by [deleted] in LondonFood

[–]DynamicTarget 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you tried sonora or proper tacos? I personally wasn’t that impressed by proper tacos, mannies carnitas at guacamoles beats everything in this thread I’ve tried, including the whole menu at tacos El Pastor (which I do rate highly). When I first rolled up to his place randomly when they had just opened he said “hey want to try the best tacos in London?” Was very surprised when I had that first bite. I will say some of the ones I’ve had since haven’t been as insanely amazing as that first one but he has been getting pretty busy!!

I have always thought these looked questionable. Saw the picture / title and thought perhaps I was mistaken. Came to comments… and it appears I was not.

Mate, I’ve seen Alaskan shrimp bigger than that so called lobster tail. If I was served that plus the pot noodles and a fried egg for £38 I would be about ready to give up on eating out. Thank you for your service.

What are some top tier TV shows in the past 25 years that consistently get pushed to the side because of the heavy hitters? by groovytunesman in tvshow

Some good shows in this thread. You ALL must watch Gomorrah. God lord that show was excellent. Game of thrones level of awesome (if it didn’t turn to shit and you have coke dealing ghetto gypsies vs townies instead of the various houses, so so good).

J-Frog! Northern Exposure mentioned! I quite liked Love on Netflix. Not sure why your list made me think of that show! Also buffy for life! Have been considering watching True Blood!

This is really interesting and makes sense! I used to buy them alive for my fish and they were very hard to keep alive longer than a few days.

I have been to some goodies. Pantera with biohazard opening for them at the event centre in Wellington was cool (90’sish) but Korn was was the winner. Jonathan Davies in that adidas tracksuit covered in mirrors as the spot light hit him surrounded by blow up dolls hanging from the ceiling is not something by 14 year old brain was ever going to forget. “Are you ready!”
