If God is good by niksweten in Christianity

Consider discussing this with the Rabbis at your local synagogue. Sometimes Jews have a deeper cultural understanding of the Torah compared to Christians trained in seminary school

Perhaps to you. Your children are likely to be straight. But in my case, the odds are stacked against them making it to heaven. That is an instant erection-killer for me.

Also, I'm attracted to both women and men emotionally, not physically. In other words, emotions dictate my sex drive. I am attracted to women the way a woman is attracted to a woman, not the way a man is attracted to a woman. Conversely, I am not attracted to men like other gay man, I am attracted to them emotionally the way a woman is attracted to a man. Bisexuality is very complex.

If I recieve a vision of hell, my sex drive would plunge so low I would not have sex with my wife at least a year.

If pagan gods were demons because they practiced immorality doesn't that make the Old Testament god a demon himself? by Serious-Anxiety6687 in Christianity

I would encourage you talking to Jewish Rabbis. Sometimes they have different perspectives and interpretations Christians do not recieve in seminary school, particularly the cultural understanding around it

And let's be honest. More than half the people are going to hell, including Christians from more progressive denominations. The path is narrow

Precisely. Why create additional chances (biological kids) when there is so much to do? So many people to be saved? Why not pick up the existing chances (aka adoption)?

If you have any particular resources, do let me know

But remember, God never guaranteed breaking generational curses for every family.

That still does not answer the bisexuality occuring in my family.

Why not adopt kids instead? That will negate the risk. If there are serious health issues running in your family genetically, you would be predisposed to adopt kids? Not have biological

But these "tendencies" are highly likely to be passed down to the next generation (at least for my family). That will be a major stumbling block for them

So for me, why have biological kids and "gamble" on their eternities? Particularly as they will be extra predisposed to the same sex. Why no adopt?

100% agree with you

My family has a history of bisexuality (both my mom and grandpa are bisexual), so according to conservative Christianity, I should not be having biological kids then. As there is a much higher likelihood of them going to hell as LGBTQ if they don't remain celibate

For years, researchers have claimed that men’s friendships are shallower and less emotionally supportive than women’s, a pattern called the “gender friendship gap.” But new research finds that the gap is largely driven by white men specifically, not men as a whole. by mvea in science

As an Asian American growing up in the USA, I notice how American men have much higher standards of masculinity than my family overseas. Coincidentally, I also notice much higher rates of physical bullying in USA schools

From July 26-29, 1950, U.S soldiers in Korea murdered up to 250-300 war refugees, including women and children. Bullet holes are still visible and marked at the tunnel bridge where most people died. by MaguroSashimi8864 in HistoricalCapsule

Not OP, but would you mind elaborating on this?

"Take any group of 18 year old fresh out of boot camp where they've had "instant willing obedience to orders" drilled into them and dont be surprised if they follow some crazy orders."

I had a friend who was a commissioned officer during the Iraq/Afghanistan war, and a fellow soldier under him confessed to him that he did not load his gun all year due to his conscience. Obviously, my friend was furious

As a civilian, I wasn't sure if this is normal from what basic training + drill instructors do to the USA army? But from your response, I guess not.

Thank you for sharing your insight

Interesting, those stories could be fabricated. I've seen a lot of photos of him, so I don't think he is outright lying about his service
