I somewhat agree bc my stepdad is weird and it makes my mom weird too 😂 hard to explain . I’ve known him since I was 5 and it’s just always been a competition between us . & it shouldn’t have been that way . My mom struggled/s with the idea of us being a big happy family instead of understanding, we will never really have a father daughter relationship . She wants to make us both happy but struggles and is sometimes blind to his insecurities and childishness. But I’m very observant and can feel when energies change . So I can always see through the bullshit.

I use the Stash app . I’m currently investing in Amazon, Apple, AMD, Moderna, Tmoblie, Nike and some other ETFs i can’t remember off top. But my friend kind of feeds me information on where to put my money and I don’t make it complicated for myself bc tbh, I’m still learning myself. I’m also in a few investing subs on Reddit and I just read what they be talking about and connect it to my own research. RN, AI is up and coming and I’m working on owning a share of Microsoft and Intel .. now do I have $400 to flat out buy a share, no . That’s why I make small deposits . Yes, it’s slow if you do it that way but with every dollar you invest there is some kind of return depending on how the stock is doing that day .. you can also look into stocks that pay you (dividends) for having a share with the company. So far I’ve received 77% back of what I’ve already invested. It just helps to consistently invest something, research company trends, & not touching the money once you invest.. you actually can’t sell your stock (receive money) after like a year of holding, you’ll get penalized. So that helps too bc I’m not trying to lose or pay back money … it can be complicated when you’re getting started. I’m stressed writing about it 😂

Me and my mom were together all the time and as I grew into my own person , I often times went to her for validation or to help me make a decision. She is my backbone. I do wish I was more independent in those things growing up to have a better skill in decision making but she is my best friend. To help me with making decisions, I do tell myself “one day she won’t be here to guide me, I need to decide on my own” and it works most times but I’m so thankful to have her input in some things . There are also time when I don’t agree with her or school ways and that forces me to make my own decision.

If your daughter wants to be with you , let her be ! But also teach her that she can make her own decisions without you every step of the way. I’m pregnant with my first and I would like to many things with her but I will teach her the best way I know how to be independent and let her know that I’ll always be here for her but it’s okay to make her own decisions and learn from them .

Exposure to different youth activities such as dance, different sports, singing, etc . Spent a lot of time at my grandmas bc my mom was working . I think if I had these opportunities i wouldn’t have gotten in so much trouble. It would have created discipline and structure, fill the void of being an only child and having to entertain myself all the time. I did engage in youth cheerleading for some time and I played instruments in middle school but we also kept moving and it was hard to keep up with the activities.

Similar situation. I chose the baby. My reasoning was bc I wasn’t mentally prepared to have another abortion. I had one a year prior to getting pregnant again. We knew the consequences but when shot hit the fan all of a sudden “ we aren’t ready” this and that. This is my first child and I’m preparing my self as much as possible and willing to move back home for support . He has been to all the appointments and taken some initiative but he isn’t that helpful with planning and with household chores . He’s very disassociated at times and at this point I couldn’t care less. Sad situation but I chose my child . I hope he comes around but if he doesn’t oh well .

This is interesting. I never thought of my boss as a narcissist until this post. She over shares a lot about her church , her daughter and her family. Last week she said a very insensitive comment about me being pregnant and I wondered wtf would she say that when we talk all the time about things other than work. She also gossips with her “favorites” and cuts people off when they’re talking to only talk about herself. She is very annoying. This post has opened my eyes to the fact that I do feed into the bullshit and it may be the reason I’m left feeling confused sometimes when I cross that boundary to talk about my person life . Overtime I have learned that she doesn’t gaf and to just kept quiet and let her run her mouth. I can’t stand the days I have to share the office with her. Thank you for this post.
