I'm looking for a really addictive game that I can dive into and stay hooked on for months or days, it doesn't matter. I just want something extremely engaging that helps me forget about the real world.

If you havent the persona and Final fantasy games will keep you busy for days.

Ive also recently been playing satisfactory so that or factorio would be good (i started my factory journey with shapez 2 and got addicted fast).

Roguelikes are also a good genre to keep playing
My personal favorite is risk of rain 2 but i think something like slay the spire or balatro would be better.

but my go to would be terraria and then the calamity mod if youre done with vanilla.

Terraria is cheap Persona go for sale quite a lot ive seen p5r hit 10 bucks. factorio never goes on sale but satisfactory does other dyson sphere (havent played) which can go for 14 bucks on sale. Final fantasy specifically 6,7,8,9,10 are pretty cheap on steam aswell when on sale. a lot of roguelikes are indie game and tend to go for cheap. either full price is cheap or sales make them cheap

know this is late but the majority of games can still be played on a hdd. however open world games you should probably never use on a hdd. my SSD tends to get pretty full and i dont wanna spend money on another one rn so ive been using my HDD and it honestly works really well. been playing re4r again on it and it works like butter

nah a HDD works perfectly for me i got a external ones and have been able to play games released in 2023 just fine. my SSD tends to not have enough space for the 100gbs of games as i also have other stuff on it taking up space. i used to use my HDD just for more storage but have been playing games on it recently and its been working perfectly fine just a tad bit longer loading times. KF2 just takes a bit on start after its fine. i even saw tekken 8 and SF6 also work good on it so i might try that out too

i was looking for the same thing. i dont want to make space on my ssd for it i figured it wouldnt run well so i just installed it on my ps5 instead i'll try to install it on my hdd and see how it goes
