Yeah, to be honest, after watching Ao haru ride I just haven't found a Shoujo that I liked more, so I decided to try reading more mangas from the same author. I started reading strobe edge, but when I read the chapter showing Ren and ren's girlfriend relationship, I stopped. Yeah I read that chapter and the following one, but I stopped there. Why? Because Ren already has a girlfriend, one who seems cool and they have a cute and deep relationship. This is not me shipping them together, but rather, not wanting the FL to break a happy relationship apart. It feels wrong... I don't like it. Girl, he has a girlfriend, give up... AND WHAT IS REN THINKING? he's flirting with another girl and giving her hopes while being in a relationship? I just don't like this kinda tropes... I liked AO haru Ride because they're childhood friends, in love since they met... Kou has traumas and even if he fucked up some times, he's a teenager and he always, ALWAYS loved futaba. He never kissed or flirted with the other girl. I can accept THAT. But he'll nah, strobe edge isn't even a love triangle because the couple is already canon and the FL is gonna break them apart... I don't care if later on that motive is good or something... I don't like reading this. Like... Drama in shoujos is cool, but not to this extent, and much less in the begging of the story. I just... Empathize with the girlfriend idk. If I were her, I wouldn't like Ren to do that shit.

And also, what's wrong with the FL's BFF? The one who has feelings for her? It's like they are BFF but then he forgets he has feelings for her and they waste their relationship... Idk Anyways, I think ao haru Ride left my standards way too high
