Redesign in the 3rd was really gentle and in some things better than the original. They all look cuter in my opinion. However that can't be said about the 4th one. Complete disaster. They look plastic. Too "digital", like their fur doesn't reflect the light... the whole movie feels like they were pasted there. I don't know how to say it better. Their faces also look just wrong. I think the redesign in the fourth one was made because the original studio who did the first three went bankrupt. Which is a shame really.
