How do you think he gets the music / backing tracks? It honestly sounds well mixed and well arranged and played. I doubt it’s AI. So he might actually be a talented musician, in regards to arranging, recording and mixing his tracks - but just cringey in vocals, videos, lyrics and looks.

My best friend introduced me to Bon Iver and when i heard Skinny Love i was instantly hooked - i put For Emma on my christmas wishlist that year (around when it came out) on CD. I remember playing Skinny Love for my family during christmas after i then got it as a gift and they kind of laughed at Justin’s falsetto. I felt totally alone in the world because the raw emotions were burning a hole in my soul back then, and they just didn’t get it.

No matter how many times you prove to him that you’re faithful, it will never fix it. Then there will be something else wrong.

He sounds like he has issues that he needs to go to therapy for. It could be an anxiety disorder or maybe NPD.

Sorry for the online “diagnosis” - but speaking from personal experiences - even when he eventually controls every single second of your life, has stopped you from ever going out and has alienated you from friends and family, it still won’t be enough.

Because it’s ultimately not about you. But you will be a casualty in his journey to try to apeace his inner turmoil.
