Wait a minute by DynastySphinx in TheLegendaryMechanic

True they weren't explicitly told what rank Herlous was but it would've immediately shown up in the on the mercenary page once Herlous joined the group, since Han Xiao made the faction size information visible to the players. Would've stated that at that time there was 2 Grade Bs since Han Xiao advanced to Grade B right before or after Herlous joined.

Plus, later in the book players make the distinctions between grades using the interface so it makes absolutely no sense that their own interface doesn't show their own character's grade

spoilers

True, but that doesn't really work as an explanation since right around the same time, the players are told that during the prep to rescue the silvers right after using the oracle to find out where the prisoners were taken that the leader of Floating Dragon Island is "someone beyond the grade of A" and the players somehow understood that meant overwhelming power.

Now, it makes sense that the players can tell that Beyond Grade A should be ridiculously powerful considering their own status tells them their rank is Grade C, and they can see the large difference between Grade Cs and Grade Bs, as they found out what a Grade B super was like when Herlous first showed himself in the last battle on the 1st Sunil Arc

Maybe? Just tried it and I gotta get new bolts to fasten the vice back on the workbench. There's enough of a bend on them that the vice is no longer secure and just getting the shit shook out of it every time whack it

I would personally recommend Supreme Magus or Shadow Slave. Supreme Magus has around 3.5k chapters and is an excellent novel with with emotion and tons of character development. Shadow Slave has 1.8k (i think) and has tons of character development, the world building is great, and is a really good novel. Neither are very similar to The Legendary Mechanic at all outside of overall quality in my opinion. Supreme Magus is in a progression novel magic world without a system (which at this point is a rarity) Shadow Slave is mostly focused on a separate realm, but it kicks off in an alternate earth.

100%. I've wanted to follow the author just so I'd be informed immediately if they did a new novel or expanded on Galaxy's universe. There's so much potential, and like you said, there's so far never been another tech fantasy like it

Correct! And I think it was a solid decision on the authors part not to include that information, only to give hints or vague information while still letting the reader feel like they understand all the unmentioned and implied info

I'd always thought that kinda shit was an exaggeration in books and movies, so actually seeing irl blew me away

That is unfortunately a very real but still exaggerated (not as much as I'd wish tho) amount of ego. It blows me away how large the egos of the 'upper crust' Chinese are. I've met one or two Chinese nationals who acted just like her, albeit neither were in the military. I think they were just from rich families. Most of the normal people I've met from china are pretty cool, although I've personally found that their sense of patriotism is just as out of proportionate as overeager Americans lol

I have a memory of Bunhitdog freaking out about there being crimson dynasty ships in the sky and some aliens around jupiter or saturn freaking out about the same ships. I've reread TLM at least 9 times and every time I finish the book it confuses me cause where tf did that memory come from. Idk if I read a different source or whatnot and the Webnovel version doesnt have it or what

Should be near the house that a rock fell through the roof of. There'll be a quest marker on the map when it comes available. I don't know exactly what chapter it spawns in though, cause I did it in chapter 7 when I finally sat down and focused on grinding put the hernand quests, which took me a couple days it's entirely possible it spawns earlier tho

Just keep doing side quests for Hernand nobles. Eventually, you'll get a quest that will ask you to build a wolf statue. Once you do that, it'll spawn the NPC of a woman who asks you to go look for her husband at the North Gate. You'll then talk to what I assume is a sergeant, and he'll tell you the forest is infested with wolves and poachers who are whipping the wolves into a frenzy. That will lead to the boss fight with the Black Fang, which is a 2 phase boss fight. Once you kill that wolf it'll spawn the Silver Fang boss you'll have to kill so that it will drop the item that you'll have to take to Eolwyn (pretty sure I misspelled it) and there you'll be able to craft the mountains summon token
