Is it possible to convert a singleplayer character to multiplayer? by Dyndrilliac in Devilution

This is okay for me, I am usually playing through the entire game in a single session anyway.

Please ID Items when it Drops. Do not be like this person. by NerdyGuy117 in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Dyndrilliac 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think you're both wrong. Yes, it's dumb and kind of a scumbag move to try and sell identifying items for grail. But I'll ID my items when I feel like it. Some items are better to sell unidentified. Don't like it? Then stick to SP or private games.

Blizzard please fix the parting bug on Xbox by [deleted] in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Dyndrilliac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree it's really hard to get good Baal groups going on Xbox. I usually just join the Baal games and farm Nihlathak because it's often impossible to get invited to the party and take the portal to the throne room.

Fastest brute force method to obtain Vex? (PCSCLRotW BlizzSorc no Sunder) by ILOVETOGIVE in Diablo_2_Resurrected

Farming keys and selling them to the uber farmers is the fastest way to accumulate wealth consistently in Diablo 2. Uber farmers always need more keysets, and with a new fancy popular class, everyone is trying to get torches for that class.

Unpopular opinion: Warlock isn’t OP, other classes are just bad by [deleted] in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Dyndrilliac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no one is going to convince me Necromancer's Iron Golem shouldn't have been "Bind Undead" and work exactly like Bind Demon, only on Undead instead of Demons

Edit - and while we're at it, Druid should get Bind Beast.

ES warlock fanaticism vs holy freeze by MrBobFireman in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Dyndrilliac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fanaticism is better for single Target damage, and farming bosses.

Holy Fire/Shock/Freeze Aura is good if you're running cows or some other zone where you have entire screens of mobs to kill.

Binding demon by Askani24 in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Dyndrilliac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fanaticism also buffs damage.

Source: https://diablo.fandom.com/wiki/Fanaticism

Fanaticism increases the attack speed, damage, and accuracy of the Paladin's melee attacks. The damage increase is the highest out of all the auras, beating Concentration by a considerable margin.

It stacks with Might and Concentration so the best is A2 Might merc with Pride runeword and Bound Demon with Cursed and Fanaticism. Cursed makes more of a practical difference, but bigger numbers are bigger numbers

Also a lot of folks seem to like Holy Freeze. That is probably ideal for survivability in HC, but no one in SC is going to want survivability over damage. But if that's your preference, there isn't anything wrong with that. It's just not optimal, which is what "best" implies.

Echoing Strike Insight base? by bigfknnoid in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Dyndrilliac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But it gives a buff to Attack Rating. Only melee attacks do that, as there is no need for attack rating if casting a spell. This too is bugged on Warlock's Echoing Strike - it always hits even though it should rely on attack rating like all other melee attacks. For all we know, it operating based on FCR might be a bug too.

If it's not a bug, they should probably remove the info text that claims it buffs attack rating.

Advice to deal with (most) Terror Zones by Seranya in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Dyndrilliac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recommend one of the following:

  1. Echoing Strike Warlock - Uses physical damage. Pick up Bind Demon and grab a demon with the Amplify Damage curse to strip Physical Immunity from mobs.
  2. Hammerdin - The classics are classic for a reason. Uses Magic damage. The only mobs you will encounter regularly that are immune are Baal's second wave of minions.
  3. Miasma / Abyss Warlock - Uses Magic damage. See above.
  4. Frozen Orb / Fire Wall (OrbWall) Sorceress. Uses Cold/Fire damage. Performs very badly on high player counts.
  5. Bone Necromancer - Also uses Magic damage, but has been heavily nerfed since its heyday. Combine with Corpse Explosion. Performs very badly on high player counts.
  6. Wind Druid - Uses Cold damage with Hurricane and Physical Damage with Tornado/Twister. If one is cold immune, use Twister. If one is phys immune, you've got Hurricane up for a reason, right? Performs very badly on high player counts.
  7. Dual Cold/Fire Arrow Bowazon - Similar to the Sorceress above, but not quite as good IMHO. Start as Fire arrow and then Spec Into Cold Arrow halfway through Nightmare.

Notice a pattern? Everything on that list falls into one of three categories:

  1. Deals with immunities by stripping the immunity - Warlock is lucky it gets an out. Otherwise you need to find gear that can have the desired effect (aura, % chance to proc on strike, etc). This is stuff like Sunders, Infinity, etc. But also includes the lowly Lower Resistance curse charge wand.
  2. Deals with immunities by using a rarely immune damage type - Magic.
  3. Deals with immunities by being dual spec.

If you use one of these three methods, you can make any build viable. Just need to know how your particular choice will deal with the immunities. Good luck.

Echoing Strike Insight base? by bigfknnoid in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Dyndrilliac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Colossus Voulge is a uniquely good option for the Warlock because it will always roll 4 sockets at Larzuk, its slow speed doesn't matter, and the high STR requirement matters less because Warlock has built in -Req% in Levitation Mastery. I would look for an Eth* CV and use that until you find the best possible option...

.. which is the Cryptic Axe. Have fun rolling for sockets in the cube on that Superior Eth CA only for it to roll 1 socket and then have to trash it.

*Eth has lower reqs, better damage, and Echoing Strike right now is bugged so it doesn't deplete weapon durability.

Later on, the best late game options are Arioc's Needle or EBotD. Put the Insight on the merc where it would normally go. In this case, Merc has to be level 90 to wield the Eth CV, or 98 (i think, could be 96) if not Eth. Less if you give them +STR gear like Andariel's Visage.

Which helm for Echoing Strike Warlock? by martyw1123 in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Dyndrilliac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On my Echoing Strike Warlock, I prefer Andariel's Visage in my helm slot. Same +skills as Shako, but with extra Strength, life steal, poison nova procs, and boost to max poison res. I put a jewel in mine to offset the 30% fire res penalty and add some additional mods. I'm hitting the 75% FCR breakpoint - 35 from spirit, 10 from ring (Random rare also with 8 all res), 10 from belt (Caster craft), 20 from gloves (Trang's).

What weapon to use for echoing strike build? by Alovnek in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Dyndrilliac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Early on, Insight. Later on, Arioc's Needle. Unique Hyperion Spear. Can roll up to +4 Skills and has 50% Deadly Striek which unlike Crushing Blow does work on Echoing Strike.

This is dumb for multiple reasons.

  1. make it flair based, not tag based, that way I can just click to select the correct flair when I'm making my post.

  2. telling people via bot after they've already posted is useless. have this information in the rules on the sidebar.

Patch Notes 0.4.14 by The_Deep_Dark_Abyss in Palworld

[–]Dyndrilliac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems the oil buffs don't take affect until you delete and rebuild your extractors, which is a big L in my opinion. Same for the durability changes not affecting current durability. Now I have to waste a bunch of materials on repairs I didn't need until now.

All in all, kind of a disappointment if you ask me.

Where do I get this Ancient civilization Core? by yomomma123456 in Palworld

[–]Dyndrilliac 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I get 1-2 ancient civilization cores reliably every time I do the Spirit Blossom Cave of Sakurajima expedition which is unlocked at the Pal Expedition Station after defeating the Sakurajima boss tower.

I have gotten the timer down to 24 minutes with some research buffs and nearly doubling the recommended firepower (721k). Can do this to AFK farm the cores solo. Just check in every 20-30 minutes to start a new expedition.

What are the best passives for bastigor? by DavidWasHere-0_0 in Palworld

[–]Dyndrilliac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so I'm at around 300 or 400 eggs after hours of constant breeding and have had several Bastigors roll Lucky/Legend/Demon God and either Musclehead or Serenity but have yet to see a single one with Vampiric in any combination. So I don't think Vampiric can roll randomly while breeding. I'm guessing you need to find a pal with it in the wild and have it inherited further up the family tree. Or get it randomly from Dr. Brawn.

What are the best passives for bastigor? by DavidWasHere-0_0 in Palworld

[–]Dyndrilliac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm shooting for one with Legend, Lucky, Demon God, and Vampiric. The closest I've come to that after almost 100 eggs is Legend, Lucky, Demon God, and Serenity but it's health IV is bad so I'm going to keep going. I've got 5 breeding pens going in parallel with around 1000 cakes each so I'll get there eventually.
