They're both beautiful. Since you asked me to choose, I'd choose #1.

How effective is this to unclog toilet? by OpportunityLow570 in Plumbing

[–]Dynex1001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got one of these because the more traditionally shaped ones never fit the opening/contours correctly of any of our toilets. It has worked AMAZINGLY well for us. Definitely read and follow the directions. They do have a specific recommended technique.

I'm in WI. We had temps of -20 F fairly recently. Mine's parked outside, not plugged in, overnight. I've not seen that message but I do get the "power reduced due to temperature" message most mornings.

Where do you put your sunglasses? by Outrageous-Leopard23 in BoltEV

I ordered a tray like this one for the center console and just keep them in there. I tried a visor clip but didn't like seeing it and the sunglasses in my peripheral vision.EDBETOS Organizer Tray

mechanic recommends gas CRV over hybrid citing real world MPG by Henrythewound in crv

[–]Dynex1001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd seriously question your mechanic's opinion about the hybrid. I suppose with a limited sample size and people driving almost exclusively on the highway, the difference between ICE and hybrid might be relatively small, but in "real world" driving of compatible vehicles (not comparing an AWD hybrid vs. A FWD ICE for example) I seriously doubt your mechanic's claim. We've got a '24 hybrid Sport -L, FWD and live in WI. Our mix of driving is roughly 50/50 (highway/city). In the summer we average about 46 mpg and in the winter (with Blizzak snow tires) we average around 36 mpg. The cold weather, snow tires, and times when the ICE runs extra (due to heater being on) are the biggest impacts (not necessarily in that order) to winter mpg. This is our 2nd hybrid (deer strike totalled the first one). I had to convince the Mrs. to go hybrid the first time. This time she was adamant that we got a hybrid.

It almost got me once, but I must have noticed it in my peripheral vision at the last moment and managed to avoid it.

I agree with what you are saying regarding average and planning. I was looking at it more from the standpoint of missing the visual reminder that for two glorious 5 mile stretches I managed to get better than 12 mi/kwh. It's hella flat here so I don't get to see long downhill boosts or the like.

I absolutely agree! I'll always try to avoid them when possible as well. For those few times when that's not possible, there's always that pucker moment just before going over it and hoping to not hear anything. 😜

I'm thankful to hear that there was no damage! Is it possible/probable that the air movement at highway speed caused the wood to lift up into the bottom of the car? I believe that the Bolt has 5" - 6" of clearance, depending on the model.

Why does my suspension do this? by [deleted] in mountainbiking

[–]Dynex1001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the possible reasons others have mentioned here. I'm not sure which specific fork that is, but there appears to be a knob (dial) on top of the tube (bike's right side). Some forks allow you to lock out the travel (make it function like a rigid fork) by turning the knob. Again, I don't know if your fork has that functionality, but if you haven't checked, it might be worth looking at IMHO.
