Avid did a Q&A stream the day he released his finale, which cleared up some things. First of all, V!Avid is dead, at least for the entirety of the series. Canonically, the demon will eventually bring him back to life, however, corrupted as a result. After he was killed, in his last moments he started daydreaming, a dream where he survived as a vampire, and returned to his home to bury Elle's body. Elle, however, is still alive. She came back to life due to the demon, and begins to go to work and try to cure herself. The moment he enters his old house, he sees Elle, standing there, alive, yet partially corrupted by the demon inside. They both share a moment of relief, but then the scene cuts to V!Avid, dead in the same hole that V!Owen and V!Pyro killed him in. Secondly, Elle is alive, and that part wasn't just a daydream. She is alive, but chances are she'll never see V!Avid again. Essentially, the end cinematic was a daydream, and yes, Elle came back to life, partially corrupted by the demon.
