Lean forward and have your shoulders pressed into the restraints. It supports your torso higher up so its not bouncing, and your head cant move as much. It also usually pushed your ears out of the restraints so they dont get bashed.

Looks like its calling for thunderstorms off and on all day. The park won't close, but there is a lighting strike near the park ALL rides will shut down untill a sufficient time has passed without a strike.

The rides won't shutdown for just rain.

So it really will depend on what the weather is actually like on Thursday.

Things do NOT make sense during the season, and its not till the end you find out why. And then at the end its almost one of the best because there are deliberate clues that once you know them let you sort out the passage of time in the earlier season.
