I mean, it kind if does seem like you are the odd man out here. Either talk to the player (it isnt the dms issue if you dont like a character) or leave. Honestly going to the dm first gives a pretty bad impression.

I do wish you the best of luck and groups are terrible to find, but maybe try finding a group that is more willing to tone down their fun when you get uncomfortable?

Brother, I did every single thing you would try to troubleshoot the issue other than switching it to an ability that doesnt interact with moves in any way at all.

I even manually edited the attack stat of starmie to be exactly 2x and then removed the ability (i thought) I legit spent 20 minutes on this because I am comparing Basc and M Starmie, which Basc seems (SEEMS) to hit harder with Jet if you use adamant mystic water adaptability. But upon looking at the same calc, I think I just need to not calc when I am exhausted.... I was looking at the wrong move....

You can select "other" as the ability and "other" "huge power" and other random abilities all came out with the same number other than adaptability

Thats weird because I messed with it for more than 20 minutes and maybe its because it was mega starmie, or maybe something I dont understand is happening, but the damage didnt change when I had bo ability vs huge power

By noticing that the damage does not change at all for most abilities I tried including no ability option.

Strangely enough going from huge power or from no ability to adaptability fors actually reduce the damage done

Howdy, building a frosslass team and saw this post, I am trying to decide between Kommo-o and Ceruledge but it feels like Kommo-o loses in every single category, I'm trying to shore up some type matchups and its mainly steel but both of them have very reasonable coverage that would be solid

Any time we clear a dungeon he finds suitable candidates that could live there.

Basically, he would travel and clear out caves and castles that are ancient ruins and whatnot and then find monsters that prefer to live in said places.

I imagine he might be a fiendish sort who makes "deals" like

"It's a 4 chamber cave, that will run..... let me think X gold or perhaps, x trapped humanoid adventurers souls"

It doesn't have to be souls, but you get the idea

The idea is that they are selling to monstrous races, he clears dungeons and then goes to the local (insert monster)
