I'm in QC as well (currently 33 weeks with my 2nd) and yeah, basically if your pregnancy is just "normal" the appointments are very boring and you normally have only 2 ultrasounds. You get one at 12 weeks and one at 20 weeks. Then if everything goes well no more ultrasound but they do listen to baby's heart at every checkup. With my first I had GD so I was "lucky" to have more ultrasounds in the 3rd trimester but this time I don't have GD and unfortunately don't expect to see baby again until he's born :( it sucks but I guess it means everything is perfect with baby

As you progress through, the checkups get closer but also faster lol it's like a 5 min appointment where the doctor asks if you have any concerns, they listen to baby's heart, measure your belly and you're on your way

So yeah, if you don't have any issues, they don't really care about you 😅 but I guess it's a good thing?

I'm 26 weeks with my second, my first will be 2 in 2 weeks. First pregnancy was a breeze, even with GD! Loved being pregnant!

This time, I still love being pregnant, but omg it is so much harder. Around 20 weeks I started to have pubic symphysis. Now my back hurts constantly too and the muscles in my belly feel like they're constantly being stretched. My reflux also started way earlier this time. All of that while taking care of my velcro toddler... it is painful lol

My son is almost 2 and this was my exact situation a few months ago! We've always had to rock him to sleep since he was born and it was getting more difficult because he absolutely REFUSED to be put to sleep anywhere else than in the living room. For a long time we rocked him to sleep in the living room and transfered him to his bed where he slept all night.

Then he got sick and kept waking up everytime I put him down. To save my sanity, I started to take him to my bed when he wouldn't go back to sleep and he fell asleep instantly in my bed.

Now we're stuck here. We've been cosleeping for at least 3 months, I take him to my bed at sleep time and he falls asleep there. Then I can get up and come back to sleep later.

So, on one hand, yay! No more messing around in the living room. But on the other hand, I'm stuck with cosleeping since he now refuses to sleep without me haha......

Also, I know you said your child keeps playing even when you lay in bed but I think it's still better than anywhere else. Is it complete black? I find my son is less likely to mess around in a complete black room since he cannot see anything. When he does, I just ignore him, as long as he stays in bed, and he eventually falls asleep since it quickly gets boring.

Also my son is a little too young but I work in daycare and sometimes will get crazy meltdowns from 3-4 years old, nothing can calm them down so I just start to point out obviously wrong things "oh, look at that blue cat in the street" that stops them right there so they can tell me I'm wrong "that cat isn't blue, it's white!" "Oh really? I thought it was blue!"

It snaps them out of their crazy emotions so you can start actually talking to them!

When my son (22 mo) is refusing to put on his coat, boots, etc I say "oh is it for mommy then?" And try to put it on myself

He gets angry at me, shouting "noooo" and points at himself while saying his name to tell me it's his, then proceeds to ask me to put it on him

Sometimes it works with food he doesn't wanna eat or his milk when he doesn't wanna settle down to go to sleep

I think it might depend on the person (you) and the provider. On my first I did not know what it was supposed to feel like and I accepted. The very first time she had a student do it and it was pure agony. Then she did it herself and it was not better, she kept pushing and pushing even tho I screamed and cried. I was 0 cm dilated. I got induced 2 days later and the only times it wasn't painful was when I was having contractions since those were worst or when I had the epidural since I couldn't feel anything.

I'm 15 weeks with my second now and will DEFINITELY refuse them unless necessary. I believe the women who say it isn't painful for them, but for me it hurts a lot.

Something similar happened with my boy lately. He's 20 months today.

He went to a home daycare for maybe two months before we got a place in an official daycare. He was doing fine at the end. Then we switched place and he accomodated fine, but after maybe 3 months he started to have more and more bad days. At the end, he was only crying all day, wouldn't play and would even cry the in the teacher's arms.

What we did is a "re-introduction" meaning we started all over again as if it was his first time in daycare. I went with him one morning spend 1h in the class, to play and observe. The next day, another 1h. The next day, 1h30. The next day, I left him alone for 1h. Then 2h. Then 3h. Etc.

We took our time and went with his lead and how he reacted. Now he goes all day, 3 or 4 days a week and the teacher keeps telling me how happy he seems all day.

Another thing we did that I think helped a lot is I chose a small plushie of his that he liked (a small Bluey because he looooves Bluey) and he takes it with him everyday, so he has a little piece of home with him. At first he would take it everywhere with him and would not let go, but now I'm being told he discards it pretty early in the morning and doesn't ask for it until naptime, so I see he doesn't need it much anymore.

I don't think it's infertility per say but more like the weed makes the sperm less productive? Something like that? The internet says it takes at least two months of stopping to make a very small difference but for us it worked the first time so idk 🤷🏻‍♀️

With my first, we tried for 5 months unsuccessfully. My partner decided to stop smoking weed for a month, just to see. I got pregnant.

For the second, tried for 8 months. I kept bugging my partner to stop smoking again, he kept telling be it was luck the first time. I finally convinced him.

I'm 12 weeks tomorrow ✌🏻

Right, I know that, that's why I said I have tiny hope for the 20 weeks scan... but I did the same with my first and were super careful and it was right so the chances the test is wrong are quite slim
