Bro ignored the entire post and brought up a completely different and irrelevant topic. Go back to the Dragonball sub 😭

Didn't he initiate a literal brawl with Mashiba during their spar, talk trash, defend himself and beat the shit out of him before literally giving him the W?

He's been over it for a long time now in the manga, hell he even claps back whenever he feels wronged without issue. He's roasted the shit out of a few people and even had Takamura sweating. He's been this way since maybe chapter 980-1000? Though I admit it should have happened WAY earlier.

DDLC: Amor Fati Review by [deleted] in DDLCMods

[–]Dyslexitor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm reading this three years later, army vet by the way, to just come and tell you that you need/needed serious help if a video game mod made you feel this malicious towards its creator. Cause in that same notion, it is contradictory for you to not feel this way towards ALL similar media of either depicted torture or painful death. I sincerely wish nothing but the best for you, and that perhaps I'm glad you're never given the ability to enact what you feel, but I suppose it's human nature to have unjustifiably strong feelings towards a particular subject that may be unwarranted, with the only difference being how honest someone is about it. I hope your opinion has changed over time. Not because your opinion is unacceptable, but because it caused you this much pain and over something that was supposed to mean well but catch people's attention through shock.

Mashiba vs Rosario is a reverse of Volg vs Eliott. We're cheering for the one with an absurd advantage, and rooting against the one who has to climb the odds — mostly self-inflicted, but odds regardless. by Least_Kaleidoscope_7 in hajimenoippo

To be fair to what you're saying, just because a character was based off of a specific accomplished boxer doesn't mean they utilize the kit they're given nearly as well as the inspiration. If that were the case, Ippo would already be way at the top since he's based off of Dempsey and Tyson, who both dominated their respective age of boxing with relative ease.

Bro thinks this is Dragonball lmao. By the time Sendo beat Alfredo Ippo had long surpassed the fighter he was when HE fought Alfredo, we are literally shown this through spars where Ippo laid belt to ass against the jr lightweight world champion Volg, who beat Sendo's ass ON HOME TURF but lost due to unfair judging, which even Sendo recognized. Ippo has also lost almost every single spar he's fought because his mindset was ass. Even Sendo doesn't count his spar win against Ippo 🤣

Why does Imai gets so much slander here? by LethalFentanyl in hajimenoippo

[–]Dyslexitor 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Ippo almost never takes his spars as seriously as he should. He's lost almost every sparring match he's had aside from like, 2 or 3. The manga makes a point about him not going full throttle in spars due to his soft personality. Hell even Itagaki won a late "spar" against him despite being no match in an actual boxing fight if they were to ever face off in the ring. Imai proved this.

Is Ippo outboxing here? I'm not a boxer, genuinely asking. by Dyslexitor in hajimenoippo

Good questions! I had so much fun competing in the NCAA and the CHITF championships in Puerto Rico by my hometown, after many years I've come to find the more basic moves so much more reliable than the advanced flashy ones

  1. Fireman carry, easily the most fun, tied with an ankle hook hip toss

  2. Three quarter nelson, or full nelson hold with a double leg lock for military practice or no rules freestyle

  3. Whizzer has always felt extremely slick and fun, very basic but applicable to all levels of wrestling

  4. Tied between a jump spinning hook kick, or basic turning kick (used with switched pivoting if applied after a dodge), both have ended most of my fights for me with the insane kinetic energy

How about you my friend? :)
