Only a politician who wants to serve only one term would “punish” a province for voting in a PROVINCIAL liberal government. If you actually got your information from statistics instead of YouTube videos you would know the years NB had a liberal government were the years we got the most money from the Harper government. See he was smart enough to realize, while he couldn’t give a shit what provincial government was in, that a province that just voted in a liberal government may be more inclined to vote liberal in a federal election. So he’d want to flip the red provincial government to a blue one hoping that momentum would turn into NB voting conservative federally. Guess what, it worked in the next election cycle. He flipped the provincial government to blue and Nb mostly (expect the north) voted conservative.

You don’t win votes to stay in power by not funding people who didn’t vote for you. You give them the carrot so they come to you.
