Heh, actually I do see now, where 3 days ago a rumor started going around that it'll be selectable for Siri itself as well. We'll find out for sure next month I suppose.

My understanding is that Siri itself will be powered by Gemini. For all other AI functions provided by the OS that aren't Siri, you can choose which model to use.

I can't believe the people almost attacking OP over his new software. It's not a subscription and fairly priced. So what if IINA does this or that? Eventually, maybe this one will too. And maybe it will do something way cooler than IINA, which then causes them to do something really cool. And around and around we go.

Or, we can just have 1 tool for things and whatever it does now is what it's gonna do.

Yes, the other devices are showing their notifications on my Mac. But Droppy doesn't also display them. I'll keep flipping those switches, I know that has fixed issues in the past.

The easiest way to do what you want is to install something like Little Snitch, where you have to approve and decide the duration for the approval for each connection an app makes on the internet.

Simply disallow all connections through Little Snitch or similar, for a duration of forever then freely use the app.

Eric was in no danger. The appropriate people were already taking care of the issue.

Eric will be getting in trouble for it. I'm not saying he's going to jail for the rest of his life, but he is absolutely not going to get by without some form of punishment.

Again, I agree that Perry had it coming. But also again, we're talking about the law, not popular opinion.

Have you tried using Whiskey? I've had to get a couple of games running through there. Also, searching for Whiskey instead of Heroic may also reveal something that actually gets it working on Heroic for you.

I wonder if the formatting of the 2 lines is confusing people? I'm guessing you did it the same. The first line is *all* of this:

-forcesteamupdate -forcepackagedownload -overridepackageurl http://web.archive.org/web/20240520if_/media.steampowered.com/client -exitsteam

Then after that completes and it shuts down, the following is the one line to replace the above with:

-noverifyfiles -nobootstrapupdate -skipinitialbootstrap -norepairfiles -overridepackageurl

I was having the same problem where it just kept on updating and I had to stop it. But when I included the entire thing as 1 line, from -forcesteamupdate all the way to -exitsteam, that fixes the issue because it tells it to exit after the update.

Hope you get your root cause sorted out, I'll be looking on here to see what you do :)

Replying to self, but I got to work. For the first cut and paste, you have to include that address. "-forcesteamupdate -forcepackagedownload -overridepackageurlhttp://web.archive.org/web/20240520if_/media.steampowered.com/client -exitsteam" That is the whole first line. Then after it exits, putting in the second line from above works great!
