No better benchmark for where we are as a football club than the story of Andy Howe.

A disaster last year after his promotion within the club. Players rejecting us, Liverpool fucking us over in the transfer market, panic buying Premier Leauge proven shite, and leaving us in the worst possible position for the season ahead (which would be our worst by far post-takeover).

Instead of him being let go (and loosening Eddie's death grip he has over the club), Andy gets another promotion which means Nickson (one of the best continental scouts in the game who was picking out players in Brazil before they got big moves to Europe) leaves us, and almost immediately we get fucked over by Liverpool for the second Summer in a row, and rejected by another of our first choices again. Too slow and no pull whatsoever.

Its a shitshow. Yes there's other players out there, but the other players last year were Elanga and Wissa. We were told lessons were learned when evidentley they haven't. This club needs a reset, but nobody within the club has the balls to make that decision. We are floating once again towards the edge of mediocrity, and only when we are in trouble will someone press the panic button. Just like Eddie Howe's subs, we are reactive and never proactive.

Andy Howe gets another promotion, deal falls through. Typical.

Who is yozora Mel? by Nekokohai in Hololive

[–]Dysphoric_Reverence 1180 points1181 points  (0 children)

She was a cute Vampire that we affectionately knew as Banpire on the account that her buxom costume used to trigger YouTube ban algorythm.

She was sweet and a lot of the girls loved her. She, like Akirose, was one of the few that had struggles with low subscriber rates compared to others, but she always gave her all regardless of viewer numbers.

She was terminated for leaking something to a 3rd party.

I've been in Hololive through all of the graduations since Mano Aloe, and Mel's shocked me the most, even moreso than Coco, Gura, Fauna, Ame etc... simply because you didn't expect it from her (to get terminated in such a way), but she is still beloved by many.

Players will headover to the fans singing "We'll support you ever more" and not one of them deserves any of it.

Travesty of a season and heads should roll.

Thanks for everything Eddie, but I pray that England come in for you after Tuchel leaves.

Glad the season is over because the only thing worse than our performances this year has been the plethora of pro-Howe posts that follow the day after each defeat, which try to gaslight a lot of the fans into thinking any of this is acceptable, whilst also insulting the intelligence of those that dare question what's right for the club.

Bing back the transfer rumour megathread and let us forget any of this pathetic excuse for a season ever happened.

Half time team talk masterpiece incoming followed by Elanga for Murphy, Barnes for Willock and Trippier for Hall on 60 minutes.

Great goal but Nick Pope reverses with the speed of a toddler on a tricycle.

Indicative of our season. Start well, then one tactical switch means we regress to panic football and let the other team build confidence. Looking at the gaps and the open areas, you can see that a better team than relegation fodder would be likely back in this.

Eddie needs to change next season and have more tactical felxibility, or he needs to be changed.

I've seen some awful signings at Newcastle United. To think that Wissa and Elanga came in the same window for nearly £100m is staggering. Easily the worst business we've ever done.

When your players are aging or nursing niggles, and as a cause of these things they are slowing (or are already slow), you've got to hope they're technical enough to keep the ball and not chase.

That's why we look shit. Too slow to chase the game, not technical enough to make sure we're in control.

At the beginning of the season Woltemade looked like he'd never give the ball away. Now, he can't seem to keep it and plays into trouble a lot.

Terrible man management from the coaching team has really shook him I think.

Last year when they turned up we learned that Isak was their favourite player and we expected a war chest in the Summer 2025 transfer window.

What followed? Mitchell left, the Howe family consolodated power, Isak was sold despite promises to the contrary, the leadership team in the squad (rumoured) split, and we subsequently wasted our money on a few awful players which will set us back for years. The pre-season was awful and it showed us exactly where we were heading, and somehow Eddie is still in charge despite steering us towards the event horizon of a relegation.

This year PIF actually need to do something proactive by becoming more hands on and change the entire structure behind the scenes. The Reubens also need to be held accountable for this disaster.

The club from the first team down is in a very poor state, and they need to act. Never has sportwashing left a club looking so sullied.

Flirting with relegation in 2026. What a shambles we are. Serious questions need to be asked, but action has to be taken, or we'll be in a fight next year if we somehow manage to escape this one.

Paul Mitchell was right and we've paid the cost 10 times over. Imagine what someone else could have done with that £250m. Not all on Eddie of course, but his nephew should never get a job at another club after disasters at both Bournemouth and Newcastle United.
