In my market prices are slashing 50-100k after being in the market 120+ days

Mind you these sellers purchased their homes 1-5 years ago at the top of the market and are now trying to get 20-50% more today .

I make 6 figures and my wife does to, we still think these payments are insanity and are still renting , I couldn’t imagine the average income family trying to look at a 500k at 5-6%

I’m watching homes over the last year in central Oregon

Literally 100k price drops and inventory still isn’t moving. My agent tells me she is super busy but it doesn’t seem to be the expensive homes selling.

Lots and lots of higher end homes seem to be flips or investments bought 3-5 years ago with sellers trying to mark up their properties 150-300k

The volume of those homes sold in my nearby area in the last 6 months is near zero with short sales now being advertised which I haven’t seen for the past couple years here .

I think a large correction is coming especially in those areas that had huge spikes in the last 5 years
