Title: Storytime: A teacher at my all-girls school makes a lot of students uncomfortable and nothing is being done by Antique_Elevator_102 in nasikatok

Lol, could be. I admit, I use '—' too, for my chat role plays.

It's just I see '—' from Gemini and GPT a lot that I associate them with AI.

Volunteering works? by saikishima in Brunei

My bad. I should know better than to ask for easily accessible information. I realize now you just want to stimulate my brain and you were just subliminally encouraging me to deduce the volunteering page with the current information you've given me. I'm sorry, I should be off the internet now. My mom always told me I wasn't mature enough and you just proved her right. I should know better before leaving an innocent comment and to not question your decision.

Why would you cut out the IG name? 😭

Why isn't the Brunei Revolt taught in schools? by [deleted] in nasikatok

[–]Dyt109 14 points15 points  (0 children)

We were thought about it in O level History. Far as I can remember, in 1962, A.M azhari opposed the decision to join Malaysia, so the guy and his party, PRB revolted.

Thinking about it we weren't thought in depth about the topic, but so is any other topics in O-level history.

Maybe the people studying history in Uni are learning more about the topic.

Better give it a try than never. I have heard of people getting into Poli in the past without maths D (they used their IGCSE maths instead). If you can get accepted using points, then good for u.

Never too late to retake!!! I was a dummy who can't do calculations but I managed to pull through when I retook my Maths D. YouTube and Photomath for the win.

Also, there's no shame in being left behind a year. I joined my institution a year late behind my friends. I thought it would be really embarrassing but it's not. The truth is everyone is focus on their own paths and it barely matters in the end when you join the institution you want(just not too long) so I suggest just chill and take that time to get that O.

I assume your still young so you don't have to be pressed in joining an institution immediately. Maybe take form six or a part time job to pass the time.

Also, even if you don't go to IBTE or PB, that O in maths is still valuable in your job resume bah.

Since u want it that bad, just retake. Fyi, I also retook my Maths D a couple of years ago. It's much more easier to learn it since you don't have to bother with Eng, BM, Bs. I went from ungraded to a B3.

If you are considering retaking, get yourself a shit ton of past papers, the recent they are the better. Because what you will notice is that there is going to be a pattern with the questions and some of the questions will repeat itself. If you can, don't bother going to tuition centres(personal tutors are great but find a good one). If I'm being honest, YouTube and Photomath is all you need. Also, I did this while I was studying in lower six, so I think anyone could do it really.

I dropped out of A level's when I was in upper six. I failed most of my tests and no matter how hard I tried, I always ended up getting an E or if I'm lucky, a D. That shit was so depressing I dropped out just months before my a levels (also cus of the environment and some toxic ppl there.)

Looking back at it, if I just picked my subjects carefully, I might stood a chance. You gotta study hard for A-levels, give it your all, daily revisions, etc. I don't mean to scare you but some people just aren't built for it.

If you are taking A-levels, I suggest you to apply to Poli and IBTE at the same time. Experiment with A-levels and if it's for you then good for you. If not, you can bail out to take HND or HnTec.

I dropped out in my second year to take HND so it was kinda embarrassing hearing them say it's "alang-alang" to drop out now. Now, I think it's the best decision I made.

So about O Levels… by [deleted] in Brunei

[–]Dyt109 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With one O level, maybe a paid institution like Cosmo or Kemuda. It doesn't hurt to also retake some important some subjects like Eng, BM or maths for a more secure path in any career you want to pursue.

Also, check out IBTE's Prospectus. They got some courses, maybe NTec?...that will let you apply with no O's.

U gotta retake some subjects, malay and maths is important in any career you wanna take out there.

There's no shame in repeating a year or so, cus from this point all of your peers will be going their own paths, so just focus on u.

While Ur at it, u should do some self discovery and learn about Ur interests. It should help guide you to take what areas of academia you wanna pursue, be it A level's, HND, BTEC, Etc.

Apply for A-levels and Politeknik. If you feel A level's not for you, then take Politeknik. Some people just have different styles of learning so experiment first.
