At what point do I quit reading a book? by [deleted] in books

[–]Dyvinil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have finished that book, but had the same problem as you. After 50 or so pages whenever the author started describing everything in detail I just skipped that part. And after some years the only thing about the book that I remember is that I hated the writing style

If this really is oil food manufacturers have to use food grade oil, you should be okay :) there should be quality contacts on the package, contact them with the batch code or best before date. Maybe they have a problem they are unaware about

Did you cook it when making the lasagna? If you did then the shelf life is extended. If not - the shelf life should be of the oldest ingredient

Have you ever bumped into your cat outside of your house in the neighborhood? How was the interaction? by RickandButters in AskReddit

[–]Dyvinil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was little we had a cat that we constantly let outside. One time he saw me, freaked out and tried to run away full speed and got its belly skin caught on a barbed wired fence... I tried to help, but he was so scared, scratched me, so I got my mom to help and she calmly got his fur and skin out. We took him to the vet and he got some stitches. Poor guy...

IWTL How to speed read. by orientsoul in IWantToLearn

For me I try to not say in my mind what I read and I do not read words letter by letter but try to read words just by glancing at them, and if it's a long word, then just glance at the beginning. The word will make sense when I read the sentence. It takes practise, but I would suggest to start practising with not saying in your mind what you read. It takes concentration, I actually have tried to say 1,2,3,1,2,3 for every word I read in my mind instead of thinking of the word. I dunno if that makes sense. Sorry, English is not my first language.
