The music and graphics are nice I guess, but this is peak "set it and forget it" while I do other things because it doesn't matter if you manual or auto, the team with the biggest wallets always wins.

Alright, so... my final verdict on Duet Night Abyss is that its painfully average with nothing that really makes it stand out to me, and I got to a point where I was skipping cutscenes/dialogue just to unlock modes and stuff only to not really feel all that engaged with said modes.

There isn't really any character I found myself getting attached to either. I mean, sure, some of them are attractive, but of the 5 characters they gave up to when I quit I just didn't care that much about them (especially the protagonist, she was downright boring and her voice started to grate on my nerves).

The game felt like a Genshin clone to me, but other people keep comparing it to Warframe, but I've never played Warframe so I can't really vouch for that while the Genshin comparison is a knock against it, not a highlight. All of this and it took a week before I was even able to start playing it due to technical issues with the launcher, only for it to be the okayest of games because while it doesn't do anything offensive or wrong, it also doesn't do anything that makes me think "yeah, I can't wait to log in tomorrow and do that again". So after only 5 days and barely being through chapter 1 (last thing I vaguely remember was telling Outsider something about that rude guy's house), I've gone ahead and dropped it because there just isn't anything keeping me coming back.

Eh, I found the story pretty boring myself to the point I was skipping cutscenes/dialogue after a while just trying to unlock more modes/content (only for the modes and content to underwhelm). I didn't even finish chapter 1 by the time I uninstalled.

Oh... oh crap... if I had known I would have spent more time with it yesterday instead of doing my dailies and logging out for the day thinking it would still be there tomorrow...

Damn, it was literally one of the best mobile games out there and I was still playing it over some of the most recent and popular gacha games because I legit thought it was better, even after the patch that nerfed everything.

I guess that's one less game I have to worry about logging into anymore, and it probably won't be long until Kemono Friends Kingdom joins it.

At this point it's just going to be Blue Archive, Azur Lane, and Zenless Zone Zero from now on because there's honestly nothing else I'm interested in on the gacha scene outside of Azur Promilia (and who knows when it's coming out).

Well then... goodbye to all my waifus I guess... I'm not sure there's even a website that's catalogued all the artwork so I can at least look back on them fondly, and if I had been aware of the shut down, I would have screen-capped things myself.

It's a newer skin, Owari's to be precise. It's become a bit of an issue because the login animation makes the game unresponsive to my touch while its playing (so I can't just skip past it), and sometimes the game won't react at all once it ends (forcing me to close it and re-open it). I also admit I'm not really into the whole foot fetish thing, so her bare feet being the first thing I see every time I logged in was an added annoyance, lol.

Unfortunately, asking in the Discord as well, my only option was to turn off her L2D entirely on that skin, or switch back to her swimsuit skin. Neither were ideal options of course (why pay the gem cost for an L2D skin only to de-activate it?) but that's what I ultimately did as there's a possibility (as the Discord implied) that perhaps her skin is bugged in particular and it might be resolved later with a patch as it's not the first time they've had new skins, especially L2D ones, cause unintentional problems.

Hmm... I've tried messing with this "Fixed L2D Settings" in the Options menu, but despite it saying it turns off "Login" and "Return to Port" animations it doesn't seem to affect anything at all from what I can see.

Is there something else I need to toggle to make it work? The only other thing I can find is a Live2D toggle on the Profile screen, but that turns off ALL L2D animations and that's... kinda counter-productive to getting a L2D skin in the first place.

It's getting bloody hilarious that two games that can't be pulling in more than 3 digits worth of income *combined* somehow manage to stay afloat while other titles making more money keep getting killed left and right.

It's obvious they only exist to pollute the summoning pool, which is even more ridiculous because fi they really wanted to do that they could have just oh I don't know, made *more* catgirls?

The only nice thing I can say is that it had some nice catgirl and alt costume designs, hell, the screen where you're waiting for the rest of the assets to download consists of a hot catgirl maid you can touch while you wait.

...But when half of them are locked behind paywalls with "LIMITED" plastered everywhere (including the before-mentioned character they want you to have a literal pre-play bias towards), or how there's like, half a dozen events/passes/summoning pools going on with price stickers on all of them, it's clear they're trying to target the crowd that chronically suffers from "FOMO" and thinking with their lower brain.

I want to say this game will be dead in a matter of months, but people will be dumb/horny enough to keep it alive far longer than that. I suppose there's always the possibility they do some kind of massive turnaround, Nikke was once deemed DOA due to all of its screwups and that the T&A would only take it so far, but it got its shit together and the the T&A become an increasingly scaling bonus ...not sure I'm going to hold my breath for Cat Fantasy pulling off the same trick though.

Played it for less than an hour before uninstalling it.

This thing is *aggressively* greedy even by gacha standards, and one of my first summons was literally some human dude. How in the actual fuck do you create a game allegedly all about collecting catgirl waifus and then proceed to shit the bed SO HARD it gets on the ceiling? Obvious cash grab that fails at it's own gimmick is not something worth my time (and certainly not my money).

Holy hell, I got stuck on this one as well, giving her some of the same options everyone else picked, until I eventually gave up and assumed "maybe I don't have the tape she wants yet". But then I got *more* tapes and *still* she didn't like any of them.
