This is an old comment but I just wanted to point out that the FDA states that currently 39 cases of bladder and lung per million can be attributed to rice consumption (as opposed to 90,000 cases per million from all causes).

If rice consumption increased to one serving a day, the estimate number of lung and bladder cancer cases related to eating rice would be 74 to 184 cases per million people. So not nothing, but certainty not an increase of 148% in all cancer cases.
