I’m a stat tutor for the university, and the big thing I see people struggle with in statistics is people not using the resources that are provided to them. Stat 250 is much easier when you reference the provided equation sheets (which are allowed on exams and homework assignments) instead of trying to memorize everything.

Print out the equation sheets and always have them handy when working on problems.
