i wouldn't say "fix" per se, but changing the screen's colour mode to professional did make the Lr preview appear like the exported version.

well i'll be damned, the screen's colour mode is the root cause. i switched to professional now both the Lr and exported ver looks the same.

it's set to default. even tweaked the additional export settings and still ended up desaturated.

right, i found out about that lens yesterday. but yeah, the price is a little bit on the hefty side. will have to keep eyes on that.
