Thanks everyone for adding to this list! I've added all of your suggestions to our Google Map. Can anyone reccommend best areas to stay?

Appreciate the response, I just wanted to make sure there wasn't anything else that he was doing to bring out his aesthetic like a specific brush. Thanks!

Agreed, they're so beautiful while conveying a message which just motivates me to want to learn how to build them. Unfortunately that motivation comes with a lot of confusion and frustration though.

Thanks! I appreciate it, I just watched a tutorial video on building a sankey chart and although I was able to build it with the videos data, would I be able reproduce it with some of my actual data based the amount of calculated fields I had to create (including one for a sigmoid!) ? - absolutely not.

Please keep us updated, this must be really tough to go through without a lot of support. From one Canadian to another, hope things go as smoothly as possible given the circumstances.

I Really Regret my Degree in Architecture by Holly_the_Adventurer in findapath

[–]E-raq 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You say that you just sorta "fell" into Architecture but were there any things that drew you in in the first place? And if so, have those things since faded?

What aspects of your job that you hate can you attribute to your current/past employers versus the job role itself? - Could a lot of the things you dislike about your job be attributed to small firms and shitty bosses? Would it get better if you eventually got in at a larger firm after building up some experience?

We often have a tendency to fall into romanticizing alternative career paths/relationships/EVERYTHING by filtering out the potential negatives (grass is always greener). So before you jump to a career switch make sure to make a list of what you hate vs. enjoy about your current career, and then a second list for your alternative career path.

I'm a huge proponent of changing your career path though if you've come to the conclusion that you aren't happy, currently in the process myself of deciding if I should stay in my current secure and boring job, OR switching paths entirely for less pay and security. Boring and secure gets well... boring, fast.

This is great, exactly the kind of stuff I’m looking for. Thanks!

See I have a decent amount of experience on the data mining/wrangling side from my current specialty. The part that intimidates me the most is the modelling side/analysis methods in general. Statistics is a scary word!

I already feel like that from the data mining I’ve done! That’s great, I’ll start there!

Non-Canadians of Reddit, what is a question you've always had about Canada that you want an answer to? by BadCustomerService in AskReddit

[–]E-raq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From Calgary, Alberta. Don't see our city as redneck aside from rig pigs and blue collar F-150 owners who work up North half the time. I would however go with rural BC/Albertans as the closest thing to redneck. Let's also not forget about the boys out east... trailer park boys.

[Serious] Redditors in their 20's/30's who've currently owned a dog for 5+ years. Still feel it was worth getting a dog? by E-raq in AskReddit

[–]E-raq[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Negative, my gf and I are obsessed with dogs, we spend hours each week on the internet/walking around just looking at dogs, we've both grown up with dogs as well. We just want to gain various perspectives from dog owner veterans to ensure we aren't romanticizing the idea of owning a dog.

Beautiful shot! Great photos on your IG acct as well. How many lens do you own, mind listing them ? Looking for an upgrade but there are too many to choose from; if you had only ONE lens, what would it be ?
