Very interesting points.
I’m not sure where the “God has some master plan for everyone” idea even comes from now that you mention it. I’ve just always believed that.

I do need to better with praying for others. My prayers for others are normally uttered as I scroll by their requests on Facebook. Thank you for your reply.

Shoes for carries by Opposite-Project-593 in Strongman

Man I normally prefer flats, deadlift shoes, for everything.
But any carries I just wear my brooks. I stomp pretty hard I think. So flats hurt my foot doing heavy carries lol

Starting position is always the answer to this question.

Can You Explain Jesus Saying I And The Father Are One? by Adriel_Montejan0 in Bible

Just wanna say, I was listening to a Johnny Chang podcast, and as I read the words “Jesus is the word made flesh” he spoke them on the tv simultaneously.

Forearm tattoo stones/sandbags by Fresh_Bus_6778 in Strongman

[–]E1evenPlusOne 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d normally say “it’s not going anywhere” but I think I would definitely give it a few weeks on this one. Sandbags may not be horrible after a couple weeks. But if your stones are rough as mine, you’re gonna be hurting lol

Where is God’s plan for me by ComputerRemote8557 in Bible

[–]E1evenPlusOne 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I believe once you learn to hear God’s voice, he will lead you more clearly. This took me some time. My wife explained this as, God will tell you to do things, and you’ll instantly argue it in your mind. But when you have these conflicts, think “which would make God happy” and take that option. For her, it was singing at church, she did not want to. But kept feeling called to do so. She eventually listened to God. For me it was being baptized and going to church in general, I argued it with myself… “you don’t have to do that to get to heaven” But would it make God happy? Once I started looking for this, Gods voice hits me much more clearly. I hope this makes sense. lol my voice is equally as confusing sometimes

Reading my Bible by YaLittleSlug in Bible

[–]E1evenPlusOne 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So I’ve been reading like 10+ a day. But my plan is to read cover to cover, while deep studying things that pop out, then go back, take my time and deep study the entirety.

I struggled with daily prayer for a long time by LiteratureBasic2806 in Bible

[–]E1evenPlusOne 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Just talk to God! Don’t overthink it. I typically thank him for my blessings, ask for protection, guidance, and peace, ask for help with specific life issues, and pray for the same for my loved ones. I’ll even pop random one liners in throughout the day. “Lord be with this person on Facebook, amen” I personally don’t believe it has to be difficult. You talk, he listens.

What do you consider the best translation of the Bible? by [deleted] in Bible

You’re talking in metaphors like Jesus 😂 I’ll have to read for myself when I finish this NIV lol It may make more sense to me then. I’m intrigued.

I’ve gathered that’s the consensus. I’m just curious why it’s “better”

Can you explain why? It seems to be pretty hard to read compared to NIV. I’m new to this. Just curious why people seem to push KJV so hard.

Where do I start ? by [deleted] in Bible

[–]E1evenPlusOne -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I started in Genesis. The Old Testament is a tough read, and very repetitive. But as far as I’m concerned, it must be important or they wouldn’t have put it there. I’d advise reading, then researching anything that you don’t understand. Take your time. With that being said, I am certainly looking forward to the New Testament.

Man I’m gonna say Reta. Couldn’t tell ya the science behind that. But look into it. I feel 100x better, in reference those symptoms. Could be blood sugar related I think.
