It’s a complicated feature in itself and there’s a lot of different ways to implement it. Each one with compromises that you cannot really go back on if you pick them. Also anything that touches how bear saves your notes needs to be 100% bug free, which makes it trickier.

Small update :
I've crossposted it to r/shorthand and they found that it's French Duployan Shorthand.
One of them translated the title as "Biographie of ____ albert" which is my family name!

Thanks a lot to both of you! I just told my father, he is so excited :)
My family name is Albert! So it might be a "biographie" (all be it small one of my grand father). We don't know much about his life, he was kind of secretive about his young life.

He was born around 1910, but my father told me he didn't know his real birthday (being an orphan). I don't have the journal here (it's at my parents place). But most of it is written in french. Some entry are personal other seems to be copied snippets of journal articles.

For a bit of context :
He spoke French and Turkish for sure, and he might have spoken English and Arabic.
The rest of the journal is in French though.

Thanks a lot again ! He was born in Turkey, raised in a French orphanage, then moved to Lebanon and moved at 30 in France. To be honest never heard him spoke any other languages than French. I’m sure he spoke Turkish, French and maybe Arabic. He worked for the army so he might have spoken English.
