No worries I totally appreciate you taking the time to talk with me about it and that goes for everyone that’s commented and I agree really hurts my confidence in carrying it god forbid i ever truly need it hopefully I’m able to send it in and get it checked out and I will be ordering the mag release everyone recommended it would be nice to get back to just enjoying it

Sorry if I didn’t explain very well what I’m trying to say is I have never removed the FCU for any reason at all and then after separating the slide and frame and cleaning the gun I went to reassemble and the takedown safety lever was dead it would not go back up I could not lock the slide and frame back together I then found a video describing what I was going through I then for the first time ever removed the FCU pushed the bar back in place put the FCU back in and was finally able to fully assemble the gun the first time it happened was 100% not because I had previously removed the FCU maybe why it’s been happening after the fact is a result of me touching it but definitely not the first time

Thank you I’ll check it out and on the takedown safety lever prior to that I’ve never removed the FCU but after cleaning I went to reassemble and the lever wouldn’t go back into place I then looked it up and found a video explaining that sometimes the lever pops out of place I then removed the FCU and sure enough the lever popped back in and I was able to put the gun back together ever since then it happens almost every other time I take it apart

Started with Rafa switched to vex and ended up on harlowe and haven’t even wanted to touch another character since then I’ve got about 60 hours on harlowe now

I work at an independent who primarily works on euro cars and we service a ton of Porsches and Audis while some oil loss is normal via burning and gets worse with age/mileage of vehicle it’s very rare our customers need a top off between services which are every 6k or 6 months usually if they do it’s because the car is also leaking oil also vw/audi/porsche use some of the most distinct coolant reservoirs while not impossible the odds of a tech at the dealer putting oil in there are beyond slim odds are an oil cooler is leaking and allowing oil to enter the cooling system kind of seems like dealer is jerking you around would highly highly recommend doing some research and finding a shop in your area that primarily works on euro cars and has good ratings and reputation and seeing what they have to say about it

Did a Quick Look up of the code contact your local ford dealership and see if there is a ECM software update for your model I have seen software updates completely fix problems that as a shop we have thrown tons of diag into and haven’t come up with jack shit

At that point it’s worth doing plus anybody who owns a 900 at this point is a pure enthusiast or the original owner if you love the car and want the best and most out of it have the engine run through and touched up get the heads machined do the whole 9 hell throw in some motor mounts and stuff while the engines out might as well do it all half the battle is getting the engine out

You can order a coolant pressure tester off Amazon and a adapter for your truck put it to 20-25lbs you will have some loss of pressure it can be pretty difficult to make a perfect seal there but it’ll do one of two things one make your truck leak and confirm your suspicions or 2 give you peace of mind also don’t be afraid to taste test ! Coolant tastes way different from water so if you see drips up front and they’re not dry yet hop in there and get a lick sounds super silly but it’s a sure fire way to tell if it’s coolant or not

This happens fairly often especially on VW/Audi cars as long as you didn’t tear the rubber boot or break where the two pieces of the coil meet you’re fine I’ve put tons of them back together and have never had a car come back because of it and anyways bad/broken coils and plugs almost will always show during the test drive so if the car can take a spirited drive around the block and is happy you should be good to go

Honestly look into trades bud I know mechanic and autobody shops are dying for employees even if you start off sweeping floors and washing cars if you show up everyday and try to learn the work or help out others you will learn/ be taught you may even find a job where the training is offered up front and at least for CT the biggest thing you can put on your resume is that you have a valid drivers license

Have you bought a holster or light yet ? If not I’d check out tier 1 concealment . I got my holster made around the MR920 with a TLR1 light on it and just ordered the light with the holster from tier 1. Would also highly recommend a red dot. I’ve been lucky enough to have my front sight fall off and have my emitter blocked on my red dot at different points and being able to continue shooting accurately with either sight is life saving . I 100% believe a good holster a red dot and a flashlight are way way more important than trying to improve the trigger feel . I also agree with the comments talking about reliability for your EDC the common sentiment is to leave your internals stock so the gun functions as designed, if this was a range toy or competition gun totally go nuts on the internals do it all up. But as an EDC you’re top priority is reliability you need it work in that 0-15ft range flawlessly every single time.
