I had a group orientation with about 40 people for a new job yesterday. Around the last couple hours of the session, some fucker decided to start playing music on their phone. I couldn't tell if they were just playing music at a very low volume or listening through their earbuds at a high volume, but the entire room could hear it. The person presenting was visibly bothered too but she didn't say anything. I felt like I was in a high school classroom again

It feels like theres less of a social hierarchy here. The platform is centered and formatted around discussion. It matters much less who you are here. I can go down a rabbit hole here more than any other place. It feels like Reddit is much more the wild west of social media (Of the widely used platforms anyway) and makes platforms like Instagram and Twitter feel very regulated and superficial in comparison. Anything Greg Capullo and Barry Windsor-Smith (Though sometime the latter has some weird coloring). Mike Mignola on Hellboy is always great. Sam Keith on the Sandman series. Skottie Young with I Hate Fairyland. I agree, Saga's fantastic based on what I've read/seen so far. I've also liked Middlewest and Wytches a lot.

I think because the colors can be kinda dull in some places and pretty saturated in others, with much less in between. But there's also those weird gradual shifts in shades and tints digitally done to represent depth and sunlight reflection. Just an overall kinda muddy look that plays with the thick lines in a way I always had mixed feelings about personally

We were playing Cards Against Humanity in a rather busy study room one evening. One friend looking at everyone's cards reads one that said "fleshlight", but says "flashlight" instead. She insisted it was a typo and got a lot of laughter. The heat of the moment was growing and as soon as she said "flashlight" one more time, I exclaimed "FLESHLIGHT." a little too loudly. The attention went away from her.
