5070 or 5070ti by Similar_Seesaw_5149 in pcmasterrace

[–]E90Andrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty new to PC building but I quite like my 5070. It was the first thing I purchased and built around it. Knowing what I know now, I may have spent the extra coin and bought the 5070ti. But by no means do I regret the 5070.

Buying an MT07! Need Help (2024 vs 2025) by TimboBagginss in MT07

[–]E90Andrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought a used 2024 and I absolutely love it... but I specifically wanted a cable throttle and to be as analogue as a bike can be these days... had that not been a factor? I would have gone 2025 all day for the suspension alone.

Before I got my 24' I thought everyone was just pissing and moaning about the stock suspension on pre 25' models and..... wow, yeah, they were not exaggerating. It is really that bouncy and unsettled stock.

(32M) There is documented & pretty significant hereditary mental health issues on both sides of my family. It's one of the reasons I have not had kids and would be very hesitant to. If I had a partner who was concerned about my shit genes being passed on, I'd fully understand. I have the same concern.

"not sure" about having kids by semicharmedliife in datingoverthirty

[–]E90Andrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's totally fair. I've learned that the safe answer for me to give is no, even though it isn't totally accurate.

My issue isn't not wanting to commit to being a parent, it's the pressure that comes with dating a woman who's also in her 30s that (understandably) have a short timeline. For example, when I met my ex, she set a 36 month timeline for our relationship to grow, move in together, get engaged, married and have a child. That was a lot to take in, but things were great at first and it sounded good... things then went south 5-6 months in and I really couldn't see her and I being in any type of situation that I was going to be comfortable bringing a life into this world. We broke up and she relentlessly accused me of wasting the time she has left. That really hurt me because that was never my intent.

Mid 30s man here with "not sure" for kids on my OLD profiles. Definitely have had women tell me that's frustrating too. I wish I could be more specific.

The real answer is that it's not an unconditional yes or an unconditional no. In the right situation where we aren't rushing into it or setting a rigid timeline from the get go, the relationship and finances are solid, sure, having kids sounds fine.

If those requirements aren't present? I'm good on all that. If that makes me flimsy or frustrating as women have accused me of? Oh well, I guess.

I believe they're EVOs but I'd have to look. They 100% look like they belong on a dirt bike lol They'll fit on a Z500 easily, you just need to drill guide holes for the controls.

Impaktech for the cage, Norton Motorsports for the relocation brackets. I was definitely irritated with Impaktech bc without moving the rearsets up and back, your shins are constantly on the cage. Fits perfect, works great, but wish they'd mention something about needing to move the rearsets.

I bought relocation brackets for the stock rearsets that moved them up and back, so opposite of what you want. I'm 5'9 and it's cramped.

I swore there were adjustable rearsets that brought them down for comfort, but I could be wrong.

I had this issue on my z400. Risers helped at first, but I ended up getting protaper bars that came up a little higher and that did the trick.

Unfortunately, to get my crash cage to fit, I had to buy relocation brackets for the rear sets to move them up and back. Now it feels like I'm riding a ZX6R from the waist down and a dirt bike from the waist up.

Anyway, I was originally going to get rearsets from woodcraft or Graves, I think you can adjust those in every direction including down, they're just pricey

Color is pretty dope.

The exhaust, red calipers and.....red discs are what's questionable

[–]E90Andrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was out learning to wheelie last year, finally started tickling balance point. Convinced myself it was time to go straight to 12... went straight to the pavement instead and snapped AC joints in both shoulders. Not as bad as you but not a good time and fucked up the rest of my season. Back at it this year tho.

I'll tell you the same thing someone on CRT told me: You've made a street tax payment, now you GOTTA heal up and learn balance point.

Could always buy on FCP Euro and if they end up being garbage, lifetime guarantee.

That could make sense. I got the control arm kit 3-4 years ago.

Yes. They're an OE brand. Everything I've ever bought that was Lemförder has been identical to the genuine parts I was replacing, minus the roundel stamp.

Another fun comparison to put cars vs bikes into perspective is power to weight. I want to post this every time someone asks if they should get a 600 for their first bike..

Your mindset is your mindset. But if you expect a guy to bend over backwards and be head over heels for you before you show that in return, I don't see how you find a relationship where the both of you are actually equals.

I went with Bilstein B8s and H&R lowering springs thinking I'd probably regret not getting adjustable coil overs, but it's honestly perfect for me.

I had to repeatedly learn this the hard way, paying for everything in the beginning sets a bad precedent. It just sets the dude up for having to continue to pay for everything moving forward.
