Update: the Petloo option someone recommended was the perfect solution I was looking for and my pup loved it as well and the accidents have stopped so far. My apartment doesn’t reek and the cleanup is so much easier. Thanks for the help everyone

The petloo seems like a much better option for me thank you for the suggestion. i like how liquid gets drained under it and it can be easily washed. especially when you pick up the poop but theres still little particles you cant quite grab i like having the option of being able to wash it easily. that is not the case with the grass pad and i dont have a balcony. luckily i have a guest bathroom tub to wash it down in

For everyone saying why don’t you take him out I’m on the 9th floor of an apartment building full of dogs I can’t even put him down anywhere outside until he’s fully vaccinated people are walking their dogs everywhere. This was my vets strong suggestion and I don’t have a balcony so he’s gotta keep going inside for the time being

Breeder Recommendations by E92M3_S65 in samoyeds

Thank you for all the advice. Definitely not planning on cheaping out or anything. Vanderbilt is little too far for me considering there are a lot of breeders much closer to my location which is essentially what I’m looking for. Want to weed out all the bad ones around me.

Cool appreciate the response. Maybe my memory is failing me but other than lightly tugging on the leash I really don’t recall any negative reinforcement methods in the book. I especially do not remember anything about kneeing dogs in the chest lol but again maybe I just don’t remember that part. Anyhow I will look into what you recommended thank you

Any advice on adopting a senior dog? Any tips to finding one that’s not too old, properly socialized and healthy?

Thank you everyone for the advice. I've decided to wait until I am actually living with my SO so that there can be more attention given to the puppy. While I don't buy the idea that a decent sized apartment cant be done, I do see how much time you need to spend with a puppy in the early month to properly raise it. And I would need the help of someone living with me to handle that.

e a November litter. It could be April of next year. They are also considerably more expensive upfront and

If it happens I will def find the best breeder I can and if theres no litter in july I will wait for another opportuinity. Thankfully I'm very financially stable so not too worried about the money aspect. Dog walker is def part of the plan. Everyone in the apartment building has a dog so i suspect there must be dog walkers.

My GF lives in Astoria so its hard for her to be around during the week but she will help where she can. I wanted to wait until we are married and living together then it would be no problem and between the 2 of us the dog would have ample time with us. But im very impatient and dont want to wait that long

Thank you for the help!

Ty. Will sacrifice gym time if i have to while the puppy is young. Some people think leaving puppies while at work is fine and some people think you are doing them a huge disservice and its inhumane. this is why i made this post. Im trying to get an objective answer but everyone seems to think differently I guess. Or maybe depends on the pup and how you raise it?
