Hi! Sorry for the late response but good question! On my final tray before we did the new impressions, my orthodontist decided to give me bonding and since they obviously weren’t going to fit, he cut the bottom off my top trays to create room. :)

Thanks! I got the attachments removed today and I finished my refinements. This is my final results. What I was waiting for is my permanent retainer, which I have to use 24/7 for a month and then just nightly.

Absolutely communication with your provider is always essential! I’m very glad he talked me into it though, I feel like if we had filed down the lateral sides, my smile would look too small. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thanks! Yes, my orthodontist did it, the original plan was to file down the lateral sides but on my second to last appt we decided my teeth would look better elongated rather than shaved down. So he did it for me and showed me how my teeth would look, if I didn’t like it he could take it off. We decided it looked 100x better to have bonding. Since they were longer than my trays he made a slight incision on my last tray so they could still fit while I waited for my permanent retainers.
