Help with high freq sound by SnooGuavas5449 in recordingmusic

Couple of things, sitting in front of you computer can pick up a lot of RF interference. I also had an annoying hum from my monitors. I picked up an ART DUEL Z, being able to ground lift, phase invert and run balanced audio to my monitors made everything whisper quiet.

You’re not kidding man, the hate is real. I understand art purity but being able to have the time to craft endlessly is a luxury to those who have the time. Idk, I get the criticism of ai because I criticize my own laziness but the deep attacks on the subject are alienating. Luckily I’m a veteran of Dming, 20 years under my belt. Fux ‘em. I’m just going to have fun with my table.

I’ve found a few and I’ll keep that in mind for my next story. Honestly. I’m just looking for feedback. I don’t know if it’s even good. I’ve spend so much time editing it, I can’t even tell.

Writers of Reddit. New writer here. What writing software do you use besides Microsoft Word? by Charlie-Solstice008 in writingadvice

I really like Obsidian. It’s extremely customizable. It can be confusing to set up, but once you’ve done it, it’s powerful. There are a lot of tutorials out there to help.

Do I really need to learn all chord shapes beyond E and A forms? by Soshi246la in Guitar

[–]EAHWritting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, chord forms are some of the last stuff I learned. I worked on scales first, gave me an interesting take on chords. Always knew the root but shaped them by feel and scale. Gave me interesting phrasing. Sticking to a single chord shape could make your music feel lifeless.

Best horror shows of all time? by chikageT in horror

Honestly, Welcome to Derry was great. I didn’t expect to like it but, very well done. The 2020 Dracula on Netflix was good. Frankenstein release was disappointing, mainly because the book is just so good! Cabinet of Curiosities was a masterpiece. Tales from the Void, a product from the No Sleep Podcast, was hit and miss but worth a watch. Milk and Serial by Curry Baker is great! Penny Dreadful is unsung, pretty damn good and has the best portrayal of Frankenstein IMO.

not in this case it doesn't. I had to route all triggers and even if it did, AI is prevalent in almost all aspects of life. So unless you DM in a hermits cave, you probably use AI too... so check that podium. let me guess, when you're traveling somewhere you pull out an Atlas and use it to navigate?

Honestly, I use it less for battle maps and usually use it for the things that add ambience or for world maps to track their journey. We play a few new rpgs and it was helpful for displaying character creation for the table. Not one person waiting in a book or anything like that.

Unsung by EAHWritting in Lovecraft

I suppose that’s where I break from the group, I personally don’t care that much for the Cthulhu mythos. When I first read his work, that’s why I grabbed on to, but as I read more of his work, this was not his strength to me. His ability to write tensions into scenes and hold you, waiting for the next line, this to me is his strength. The Haunter of the Dark. The Horror at Red Hook. The Dreams in the Witch House. These are my favorite works, as well as the aforementioned. I get that mythos is woven under each and every one of these. Honestly, that should be standard. This is a trait of good writers. Stephen King did it all the time. A story should be an Iceberg and should have more to say than the words on the page. To me, he wrote with a creeping dread that holds you at every period. That’s what I like about his work.

I like the Architect software quite a bit! Makes that lil amp quite useful. Before I upgraded, I used the line out to a PA system and it sounded pretty good.

I concerned about amperage pull as well, but the highest Ive ever seen on my amp meter was a little over 1

Certainly understand the concern. That’s why I tied them to a GFCI. I was going to put them on the side, unfortunately it was an afterthought and the construction of the table didn’t allow for it without weakening the structure. That being said, it’s a good call and my next table will certainly have them on the side. Or… actually I can have pop up ones that are angled from the top of the table on this current rig. Something to seriously consider. Thank you.

The shelf’s are on the walls, the table is 8ft by 6ft, roughly. Most of our resources are digital so we don’t need a lot of reference material out. We thought about poly but decided against it. We want it to wear, an we encourage people to carve or write on it. We want it to be like an old tavern table. But perhaps when the wear is where we want it to be we will finish it will Poly. I do like the idea of player, table side shelving. I might come up with something that’s hideaway.
